Lisa,
The fire caused by a lack of leadership. And there were some officers who were relieved of their duties because of it. But like my hubby said last night... There are some that let their jobs go to the heads and are out for themselves. He also said that the Navy is not what it was when he enlisted in 1988.

Mollie,
My son has had a hard time on the ship. There were a couple issues that happened that I found out about by looking at a statement he made on facebook. And me being MOM asked him about and when he told me it was all I could do to kepp my rear in this chair and not hop on the next plane to Japan. How the heck a shipmate could do what they did to my son I will never understand. But I was and still am ONE PISSED OFF MOM. Some shipmates have no respect for others. The kind we don't need in the NAVY. Anyways my son says he LOVES SECURITY. I will have to ask my son if he knows your daughter. Just sent email to him, will let u know. Maybe they can workout together. He needs alot of motivation in that area. And I got in alittle trouble with the last care package I sent cause for the packing peanuts I used Easter Candy from the Easter Bunny.. When I asked him if he got it he said "YEA I GOT IT ALRIGHT.. THEY DAY BEFORE HIS PFA". lolololol

Hi momof2...they could well know each other. Kelcie said that quite a few of their TAD personel have actually been in security for an extended period of time and are VERY good at their jobs. She hangs out with mostly TAD people, so there is a good chance that they do know each other.

Mollie,
I am not sure. Maybe my son knows your daughter then.

My daughter is an MA. Is your son TAD to Security? Kelcie said that there are not that many MA's, most of security is made up of TAD personel.

Your right. None was for the best. My son just got there in DEC. He was in the Galley now he is in Security.

You know, my daughter just got there in November, so don't know about the change of command. Like I said, I may be using the wrong terminology. I know that the "politics" are driving her crazy. Told her that we all have to deal with that crap at one time or another. I can imagine that your hubby has seen a lot change since he enlisted. Unfortunately, it's undoubtedly not for the best.
