OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Well when I went to the post office to send the box today. I went to the same clerk and told him he needed to redeem himself for my son getting his box so late. Joking with him I asked if it was because my son is Navy and he was Air Force? We had a good laugh. The clerk next to him was Army. So of course he joined in. I am getting a new phone upgrade on my cell phone next month and will get one that I can SKYPE on. I don't have the right kind of internet service at home in order to Skype. My hubbys Aunt did Skype with her daughter when she was at school in Russia for 6 months.

Well I just got back from sending my son his second box. I insured it this time. They take better care of them if you do that. Not to mention it has all his Xbox 360 games in it. And a bunch of SUGAR from the Easter Bunny.

My son finally got the box I sent him back on Feb 19. Apparently one of the bottles of shampoo I sent him broke open. So they quarretine it. Thank goodness it was in a bag. But I am really glad the Navy Bible I sent him was fine. Now I can mail him his Xbox games and he has requested skittles 100,000 grand bars.

I wish I could talk to my son. But he had his phone stolen. Now we only communicate via email. OH also the Sailors can go to the USO and use the phones for free to call home. My son is suppose to start volunteering at the USO on Saturdays.

Try dialing 01181 then the numbers. Leave off the 090. Grandma have you thought of using SKYPE. Because of the crappy internet that we have I am unable to use it. BUT hubby gets to get a new phone next month and he doesn't know it yet but I am going to use his upgrade to get me a new phone (HEHEHEHE) that has SKYPE on it. That way I can talk to my son via his puter.
