OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

it is so funny to hear your child called by their last name. By the end of the tiger cruise (on the Lincoln), I was even calling him by his last name.
I'm here because I want to follow Ruben's progress. Any new word?

Hi Michele welcome aboard. I have pixs of Aaron working while in port and at sea and I always notice that he has a green shirt which indentifys him as an ABE and cammie pants. He also has a cammie coat. I hope that helps with your question.

Pat. There are a few that have made the trip to Japan and I'm sure they will let you know about their trips. We hope to go over late this year or early next year. In the meantime I have been enjoying the following blog: http://passthechopsticks.blogspot.com/. The lady who writes the blog is married to an officer on the GW. Spend some time on it and explore Japan thru her eyes and make notes like I have of where to go.

A true sailor fights not becaus he hates what is in front of him BUT because he loves what is behind him.

Praying for you Lucille and Ruben.

It is a juggle of time when they come home. Even harder when they come from divorced parents and parents families. My step-son did the best he could when he was home but it was still hard. You just have to believe they know and are doing the best they can for all involved. Enjoy your sailor the times you have them. Michael got back to Japan and I got a Skype call within 2 days...just to talk to me (his father was at work). I felt so loved and missed :)
