I was able to do video chat with my son yesterday. I was very happy to see him. The upcoming deployment is his third deployment. I am sure he will do well and return to Japan. If anyone knows any information about GW, please post it. I pray for all GW members safe deployment.

@NavyMomandNavyChiefsWife  I don't expect to see mine for a few more years, so this was going to be a golden opportunity.  But I guess the Navy's needs come first ;-)

@TNmomof8. I was so sad when I found out my son was staying Japan after the hull swap and going to the RR. I think I am ok now, but still a little down When my son finally came home early April for his two weeks I hadn't hugged him in over two years!

@Dylsmom. Yes the address will stay the same!
Comment by DylsMom on May 2, 2015 at 6:22pm

Does anyone know if the address stays the same as it is now , when sending packages to the GW while underway?

Comment by TNmomof8 on May 2, 2015 at 11:42am

Mine will be going back to Japan after hull swap.  Broke my heart when he told me his chief said don't bother going to San Diego because he will be working the whole time and wouldn't get to see him.  I haven't had a hug since Oct. 2013.
