FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hey Paymaster, On Greenbay facebook page they said they are hoping to have the cookbooks ready to order on Saturday they emailed me about them !!!

Moms, did you know that you can now use the USMC Motomail option to communicate with your sailors?  I don't know how long this has been available and maybe it is old news to you, but just in case it isn't:

Motomail enables you to send an email of sorts to your loved one and even include one picture.  They can't respond, but at least you can 'reach out and touch' them quickly this way.  Usually takes about 24 hours and is mechanically sealed then delivered to them with the mail--no one's eyes see it but your recipient.

Woohoo!  Got a call from 'da Boy' today!  He says they will be home "as planned"!  <Mama is doin' the happy dance!>

Hi Vilma we have a lot in common, I also have 2 in the Military Both Navy, so I know what your going thru..1 will be going to VA  after his deployment  and Other 1 will be going to Hawaii.. this will be a new experience for me and Hub.. best wishes to you and your family

Does anyone watch American Restorations on the History channel?  There is a gentleman on that show, he is one of the workers.  He wears a Green Bay hat from the ship.
