FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Yeapie!  They finally got the pillowcases!!  I feel better know they got them.  Hope they all enjoy them.

Dee...Gosh you did everything but get little Jonathan to college and married off:)  But Sarah the time does go by fast.

 

Yes, I heard the same thing that the pillowcases would be handed out soon.

every nice Jody!!.... I know its a pain now Sarah and he will be fine :) but in a few months mommy will for get all about those molars.. then it will be worring about the boo boo's  and cuts and then school and bikes.. cars.. and THEN GIRLS  wow  the time just flys.. then they grow up so quick these days  :(  .... ok now im going to cry lol.. wish we could keep them little ...for a little while longer sometimes

Just wanted to share with all of you a picture of a quilt I just finished.  I made it from scrapes that were leftover from our pillowcase project.  I am very proud of myself as I didn't buy one new piece of fabric to finish this quilt.  I donated it to the Mather Veteran's hosptial.

Not so sure I am going to be able to make any neck coolers after all.  We may be moving this summer and if so it will be quite awhile before I can.  I had said I would make them for the GM's on ship.  Does anyone want to take that over?  If not I will just do them when things slow down a bit.
