Harriet....Welcome to our group.

I think we are all in the same shape as to the mail.  I mail a box on 2-26-11 and he still has not gotten that box nor a box a sent 3 weeks later.

I have never had this much trouble getting mail to my son.  He has had numerous deployments to the middle east and those boxes went through just fine..  Nothing like this time.

For Sarah and Krisk:

I mailed my son a box on 2/22 and it did not arrive until 3/13.  I had a 'questionnaire' inside for him to mail back to me ("check boxes, yes or no, if you want more of..." and listed the different things in the box).  He posted the return letter on 3/14 and I did not receive it until 4/4.  So it does take a long time.  As of 4/1 he told me that my box was THE only thing he had received in 6 weeks yet he knew his wife was writing twice a week and our family was sending at least a letter a week.  So I am relying on Motomail (he's a Marine).  I do insure each box, too.

In 1912 stuntman Frederick Rodman Law became the first man to intentionally jump off what bridge without intending to take his own life?

I sent my first box on 2/28!  He still hasn't received it.  I did put insurance on it so was wondering if I should file a claim.  I sent a note to the ombudsman and she said to be patient, sometimes the boxes get held up.  I guess I will keep waiting and so will my son!  I have sent another box, I guess if he gets the second box first I will then file a claim.

Vilma....It has been a bit since anyone has gotten calls.  This isn't the longest I have gone, without a call.  But still miss hearing his voice.

Yes, Sharon and Diane got the answer to the question correct.

I will have to think of another question to ask tomorrow.
