Sarah....You might even check into picking up a "seal a meal". I don't know what they cost, but it is a machine the takes the air out of your bag and then seal's it. Its really the best way to store food even if you are freezing it. I would think it would be a good investment since you family is young, you would get lots of use out of it.

Were you are living you get the best veggies and fruit for the last time. We get good fruits and veggies here in Northen Ca, but our season is not as long as your is.

One thing they may not have memtioned on the video you watch is you might want to treat the ice cube trays once you wash them, spray lttle oil on them. It will help the food come out of the trays a little easier.

Let me know how your stuff comes out?

Sarah....Even if your dr does not want you to start him on food yet, this is a great time of year to start putting food up for him.

I always like using ice cube trays to freeze my food, take it out of the trays and then wrapped it in wax papper and stored it in zip lock bags. The wax paper made it easy to pull out just one serving at a time.

During the summer I would be so busy putting up food I felt like a lady that was doing canning like they use to.

Thanks for the cute picture!!! He is so cute.

Kim....I was wondering were you went. How are you doing? Are you all recovered from you feet/ankle?

What news of your sailor do you have?
