Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Sandy....Welcome to the group. Yes you are right the ship is awesome! Had the pleasure of seeing it in October when it was in San Francisco for Fleet Week. The crew was great! Lots of talent in that group.

Our son is home visiting for a few days, so needless to say life is good right now. All the children our home and I am able to hung them all, its been six years since I have everyone home . Last year our son was on an IA in Afghanistan and I will say it was a tuff one knowing he was out there and the family was stateside.


I hope all of you get to see your loved ones this holiday or at least hear from them.

omg Denise I hope Jenni made it home I was just watching the weather.. dang east coast storms , there getting worst every year.. we were stuck in RI last year this time and end up driving home from RI to MI what a mess that was.. well 4 more Days until SanDiego im so excited .. hope all is well and everyones loved ones are safe

Denise....Yes, I wish I could make it stand still. But as a Navy Mom I have learn to appreciate what little time I have with my children. We make the best of what we can.

Hope Jenni has a smooth flight. I know you will enjoy your time with her. I am glad you will get to spend Christmas together!!!!

I'm so excited less than 2 weeks now and counting lol we leave on 23rd and come home the 30th James is flying home with us until Jan 5th, Maybe I'll get to meet Jenni while we are there, James said he has talked about me to her lol I'd love to hear what was said .. well have a wonderful visit and a great Christmas, I hope she gets her snow Happy Hoildays :)
