Congrats to the Green Bay on a successful deployment.  Can't wait until you all post pictures.

I think that day was a lot of fun for them and a much needed break from the daily routine.  We saw a picture of our sailor too and I loved it!  Exciting times are coming up soon for all of us aren't they.  I can't wait.

Hi Vilma,

My understanding is that we are not allowed to post pictures of the "initiation" because they have not been approved.  It has to do with OPSEC rules.  My sailor was "initiated" as well but he would not share details of it with us for security reasons.  Guess we will just have to wait until we see him to hear about it.  Have a great day!

"Cookbook Linda" and I have been collaborating on getting the word out on cookbook sales using our FB pages.  If anyone else would like to do so, here is what I did--alter personal info to suit your situation.  Keep in mind FB has limited characters on your status, so you will need to break up your entry and put the first part in your status and the 2nd in 'comment'.

Hi Facebook Friends!

While Aaron has been a Marine aboard a Navy ship during his deployment I have taken part in the group www.navyformoms.com .  Many of us banded together to send in recipes for a cookbook that is currently at the printers.  There are hundreds of recipes in this book, probably 30 of them mine.  The profit from the cookbooks goes to www.mollysadoptasailor.com and

You can see the awesome things she does by visiting the site.  Would you consider purchasing a cookbook to support this honorable endeavor?  The cookbooks are $23 each including shipping and, once printed, will take 7-10 days to arrive by media mail.

If you would like to place an order, please message me and I will send you the Paypal info, or the address for MO/Cashier’s Checks.  Please share this with your friends, too!  Let’s support our guys and gals in harm’s way!  Thank you!

NavyMom’s who choose to put the above notice in your status on Facebook, when you are messaged by someone interested in ordering, please message them back with the following:

To order, please send an email to ldixon64@gmail.com telling her how many books you want and your address and contact info, then follow-up immediately with payment ($23 per each book) via paypal at snipemom2008@yahoo.com or you may mail either money order or cashier’s check (made to Linda Dixon) to NavyMom Cookbooks, 515 Bruin Ave, Pearl, MS 39208.  Thank you for supporting our troops in this manner!
