I really hope that this helps everybody as much as it helped my boyfriend and I. this website helps you set up a account that gives you a phone number that you can call and leave your love one a voice mail. This helped my boyfriend not feel so down when he can’t call me because he still gets to hear my voice. To set it up you are going to have to set it up for them because they have very limited access to what they can do on the internet, you use the email addresses that they usually email you from and you make a password for them and then it gives you a phone number. Once a message is left, it is sent to their email in an Windows media file. It's a really cool tool to help cope with deployment and separation from family and friends.

Aimee-
Thanks so much for posting this! I kept emailing my son to do this and he never did....so, I followed your instructions...I thought there was already a password that he knew, so, I never got past that point before.....got his phone number and have started leaving messages! Cool!
there shouldnt be a charge
I signed my son up, we will see how it goes!
There isn't any charge.
When the guys or girls are signed up, they are given a phone number for you to call. Then you just leave a voice message. The voice message goes as an attachment in an email to them.
Tested it on myself first...it worked!
I use this to leave messages for my husband, Its great when you really need to talk to him about something but are away from the computer. And sometimes its easier just to say it rather then type it. I also feel a little more closer to him when i can actually pic up the phone and call him again, yes im only leaving a message but in the end Im still calling him! He loves getting on his email and seeing voice mails from me, he also can save them and can hear my voice anytime he wants to, our nephew whom lives with us was missing him like crazy the other day so we callled uncle cott.. he had a problem he wanted him to know about so he got to tell scott about it with out haveing to tell me to send him a message or have to wait until oru next phone call from him!! :)
Ok I know I set this up before but it looks different to me this time. Do I sign him up- or do I use my info? It doesnt make sense to use mine since I will be calling him? Maybe I haven't had enough coffee yet. Melody
OK I tried to set it up with his ship email and it is saying it is not a valid email address- I know it is because I write to it daily?? Help!!!!
Your going to use your sailors info, Im not sure why it is saying his email is invalid, you have just have to try it a couple times and check for typos. It will then give you a phone number at the end of registration to write down , and it will also be emailed to your sailor with the website, phone number, pin and all the stuff he could possibly need.
OK now I am totally frustrated- Help
Anybody can set it up you just have to use the email that you want the messages to get sent to when registering. At the end of registration it will give you the phone number and will then send the sailor the info as well..
