My son graduated from nuke prototype last week & will be stationed on the USS Jacksonville soon. He & his new wife (4 wks) are pretty excited about going to Pearl Harbor, but she is very stressed about the move. The movers are scheduled this week, their wedding reception/going away party next week, and then some time to chill before leaving. Did I mention that hubby & I will be dogsitting her 2 dogs during the 120 day mandatory quarantine period?

Has your son added you to the ombudsman list? I am trying not to worry because he loves what he is doing but its hard when we can't ask questions. Are you planning on going to visit sometime?

Hello Coloradomom,

I am a newbie mom too. My son just reported to the Jacksonville in December.

How is everyone? Haven't been back here since I posted in October. We need to try to get this going again. I'm sure I'm not the only newbie mom!

My son just left this morning for Hawaii. His first assignment and we would love to connect with other families. I see this group hasn't been too active. Maybe we could get it going again?

My son was only on the Jacksonville for that deployment. He 's back in Bremerton where he's permanently stationed. He did receive his dolphins on the deployment!!!!
