So, there is a really fun little place called Prohibition Gastropub in Everett...it actually was featured on an episode of Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares.  :)

Weve been a few times and its yummy...they also have a biggish room in the back depending on how many of us can make it.  Its my new favorite place and the prices are a bit better than Anthony's... Its only about a mile and a halffrom the base.

Heres the link..http://www.prohibitiongastropub.com

We plan on being there unless something happens.  Hopefully we will know  their schedule soon so we can fight with Delta again LOL...  We would love to meet

I will be there unless tc happens. The restaurant right next to the base on the water is delicious and has great sourdough; ). I plan on staying at the inn at port gardner. And yes...it would be fun to meet the night before.

So, who will be at the final destination? Do you all want to meet somewhere the day before for dinner/drinks/getting to know one another? Anyone have any suggestions? We just drove by the base yesterday and there are one or two nice restaurants on/near the entrance to the base, should we pick one of those?

Not certain. ..I agree the main thing is they get home safe and also agree we will be updated by sometime tomorrow if not today:).
I'm thinking they're all working extra hard to get underway

We looked on the internet last night and the calculation.  The only thing is we were not sure which port they were going to...the Tiger Cruise port or home port?  Do any of you know ?

Okay everyone here is some info for you to be able to calculate when the ship may arrive. I am not going to completely detail it out but you can do the math-a general Navy destroyer can travel about 30-35 knots an hour, so now find the mileage from where they are and where they need to go. If you take how far they can go in a day you can figure, once they start traveling how long it will take.  Basically, I calculated it and I am not happy!

I was able to speak to my son last night.  His spirits are high so that made this mama very happy.  I too will not be able to be there at the Homecoming so if you can find my son as well and give him a BIG hug from us that would be GREAT!!!  I can give you specifics if you email me at greeneshire@yahoo.com.  Thanks!!!
