Well ladies...we are underway again, fairwinds to our sailors !!!!
We had alot of communication since friday AM, he called again this AM and we talked for over an hour, he knew this would be it for awhile so he wanted us to get our fill !
Tammy, I am so glad you got your call, I know you needed that ! You won't be worth crap soon with your countdown going on, lol
Lisa, my son left on 9/11/2011...he WAS able to come home for Christmas...TOTAL surprise to us !
Got my phone call tonight that I had been waiting for. All is well with my sailor and counting down till he comes home on leave.
Not since the other night, the email. But I was sleep today so I could work tonight. Maybe he will call me tonight at work if he can.
Thanks Lisa, it feels like it's been longer than 2years also. I haven't seen him since we put him on that plane to go back on Dec. 31, 2010. I don't have to tell you, some days just really hit you when your just sitting and your mind goes to wondering. We are on the count down now for him coming home for 30days on June 22nd. I have already arrange with work to take my vacation and I will have 3 weeks off. Have you heard from your son?
JMill'smom, those e-mails really do put alittle pep in your step, don't they? Nothing can make you mad that day...it's like "bring it on" you can't get to me. And 2 years, wow, seems like he's been gone longer than that. Welcome though, glad to see you here !
Recieved and email from my son last night, that just made my night at work. It's still so hard after 2years when they go out on the water and you always wondering when you will get a email, phone call, or letter. Glad that he's okay though. Now to get those care packages off to him in the morning.
