@ Kris & Bob -
Yes, there will always be (for lack of a more fitting superlative) major ignorant jerks that don't understand where and how to appropriately vent thier frustration. Isn't it ironic that the ones they are literally slinging mud at are defending their freedom to do so? That part p*sses me off!

Rhonda, Kris & Bob: both of those stories made me cry, one with joy and gratitude, one with heartache

It is nice that some people do appreciate what they do. Yet our son went to lunch one day in Mad Town only to be called a baby killer and have the station & vehicles covered in mud on another day while at work. Hence the saying 20 square miles surrounded by reality.

Here's a great little story-- my son is on leave in Eau Claire where his girlfriend is going to school. He was taking her out to a very nice dinner. He put on his dress uniform and she bought a very cute black dress to match him. They had wonderful dinner together. The waitress brings him the receipt and tells him it was already taken care of by that gentleman across the room. My son approached the man and said thank you, but man told him, " No, thank you and just keep protecting and serving our country." My son was astonished that was the first time anyone had ever done anything like that. This was a $75 meal he will never forget!

nice to see you here mom2nw!
Hey y'all - my home computer is down. Don't click on a pop-up that says you have a virus and it'll fix it - not even the little x to close it - it's not really an x to close it - it's part of the virus and will start the download. This is twice this year now. try to educate my family on this, and they go and do it again. "I just tried to close it" A-hem, isn't that what I warned you about last time? Just manually shut the computer down - don't click Anything!! Sorry - little rant there. Anyhow, no 'puter @ home, if you can pm me and give name & number, I'll put them in my cell and communicate the old fashioned way. At work now and need to log out.

Thanks all - our PIR is coming up in 2 1/2 weeks, SO excited for our PIR date's meet and greet, PIR itself to see my brand new Sailor!! - and then in a few months to meet some Wisconsin Moms!!! Yay!!
