Son posted on fb this morning that the USS John S McCain was out when the earthquake hit so they were fine.  They were on stand by for humanitarian aid was the last that I heard.  He didn't know what the condition of the housing was though and if anyone could post would be great..He has a place in Yokosuka..

I'm glad to hear that the sea wall stopped the tsunami on base. My son called as he was walking home (lives in Yokosuka) and said he was fine after the quake but haven't heard anything since the tsunami. Praying for Japan and for everyone's safety.

Son posted on facebook that he was out when the earthquake hit and that they were staying out for now.  The news said no military were injured but the damage was great..praying for all our kids...

Would love to hear my son's voice, but am so very comforted by the fact that we have such technology that I do know he is okay.  Praying for all of the Sailors in Japan as well as our military everywhere.  I just talked to my Mom, and sisters (one called me EARLY this morning to let me know what had happened in Japan and checking on my son), and I told them that I couldn't imagine what my grandmother lived through when my Dad was in WWII, and not knowing what was going on.  I realize that there wasn't as much media coverage then, but still she went for months at a time without hearing from Daddy.  I am so thankful that with just a few clicks we can get an update on what the USS BR is doing and how the Sailors are in Yokosuka.  Praying for all of the people in Japan. Oh and did I say how much I love N4M... you ladies are the best!!!

Talked to my son after earthquake but before Tsunami. He was OK then but haven't heard from him since. So worried!

Angelika, my son is also on the Curtis Wilbur. I haven't heard anything in the last 24 hours. Hoping they're still ok. I know they're underway and the seas are rough. Hopefully they are in safe waters.

Saw this on the Japan Moms group.

From the 7th Fleet, (Japan )
There have been no reported injuries of any 7th Fleet personnel, and no reported damage to 7th Fleet assets.
We are initiating a full muster of all 7th Fleet personnel in Japan, and accounting for the condition of their family members.
