For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". If I get anything I will post it here for everyone else to get. And yes these are t shirts for you and/or SR who ever want them. They have your SR div and ship and I believe there Div name. Can't remember as my son friend go one for his mom for christmas. And I have not seen it yet.

Has anyone on here been to PIR before or is this the first?

My son is a CTR an E5 now. I am so proud of him and he has been deployed since the end of June. He is stationed out of Hawaii too. We are going this summer to HI to see him. This was my first Christmas without him too. I also have one in the Airforce, he is in Security Forces. He was also in Iraq for about 3 months. He is stationed in Japan.

If I can help I will try and help with any questions but I don't I am sure I could find out for you guys. Thanks for welcomes too. I just love N4M's. They didn't have this group until after my son was in for about year. I wished they would have had it, it sure would have helped.

Comment by diannep on January 4, 2012 at 5:05pm: Lani: These are the tshirts that are produced after your division designs their flag--it is used on the shirts. The SRs have a chance purchase them, and you all can too. Some ladies order now and are able wear them during PIR weekend.

Don't know why the link that FTLW and I have is not working right now. Maybe a temporary glitch? Not sure, but you can call for info and they can email/fax you the form.
