I sent my son a copy of our family Christmas photo we took before he left. He has a santa hat on in the picture. I hope it goes unnoticed because I sent it before I received his letter saying no photos. Feel bad!
Ohhhhh gotcha. yea an 8 hour drive isn't bad. I figure I am just going to be flying to South Carolina a lot lol. Even if he has a lot of work to do, a few hours is worth it. I get six weeks off, so that should give me plenty of weekends! We'll have to go get some beers in SC at some point :)
Well, we're married, so I'll be living with him in the housing. Yeah, your SR will probably be doing the same. So my plan is once I drop him back off to base Friday night, I'm driving back home. Then the following week he will be in SC setting up our housing, and once thats finished, i'm moving there.
I decided on driving up to Graduation, my dad wants to go with us, and doesn't want to fly. It's only an 8hr drive there, so not too bad.
@Trisha, Oh, that sucks. So my SR would be flying out around 3am too. Hopefully it'll change. Are you just getting an apartment by yourself? Since he can't live off base for a while? I'm so sad, I really want to move there!!! But I can't leave my career here :(.
Has ANYONE in Ship 2, Div 911 received a letter home? I am so jealous of the rest of you. (No one on the discussion page for Ship 2 Div 911 mentioned receiving one yet.)
Aww Thanks you guys, That makes me feel Alot better. I was so worried when i Read that. I started to cry. Thanks diannep. I really hope they do get to him. Know I'm just still waiting on My first letter to get here. But Thanks for all the support, I really need it. Since Im the only one in my family that has ever gone and is going threw this. I Can only ask people that are in this, with me. :)
Well, maybe its a good thing that he's getting them done there. :)
I'm just so ready for our move to Charleston, SC. :)
He told me that after graduation he has to be back on base between 8 and 10..and then at 3am he's flying out with the other Nukes to SC.
awww I know, I was a little late in mailing out my letters and I feel really bad; I know he's not going to get it in time. Btw, I think my bf's going to get his wisdom teeth out too, but I hear they do a good job, and they get time off of boot camp to recover! His recruiter actually advised him to wait.
So when I got my letter the other day, my husband had labeled it the letter #2, he said that he wrote letter #1 and mailed it out with letter #2. Anyways, i got letter #1 today. It broke my heart. :( Apparently some of the guys were already getting letters and stuff, and he hadn't gotten any of mine yet...he was sad. He has to have his wisdom teeth pulled sometime this week, which is going to be interesting
I've had an emotional past few days. :( But 50 days, thats what we all have left. :) Anyways, i just thought I would fill everyone in on my hubby. I hope you all have heard from your SR's. :)
I'm really thankful to have a support system with you all. So, Thanks!
