Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". Don't worry about her division coming together. They'll get there! Many go through this but in the end, they get it together.

Comment by tracybraun2012 on January 21, 2012 at 2:55pm: My SR 03/055 wrote to her dad on Monday and he got it today. She said her division was getting in trouble and wishes they could get it together. Some of the people were talking in Mess hall on Monday which apperently is a big no no and they had gotten a black card. Not sure what that is. She also said that of all the divisions they are supposed to graduate with that they were told that they are in last place. She prays that they can pull it together as a division so they can make us and the RDC's proud! No mention of BS. She also listed out things she wants to eat on liberty! She said they were having their final weigh this past Tuesday and was pretty sure she had gained weight. She always worries about that!

Angel, I have a date for you. Will post on your page. Also, Gurnee Olive Garden is very close. Gurnee is next to Waukegan/Great Lakes.
