Div 060 receive calls yesterday Lani. I received the I'm here, and extra earned for something, and one on Christmas Day. The one yesterday was 24 minutes. It was to be longer but the Division did something wrong and the call was shorter than expected. Let me rephrase that, they did something RIGHT because my SR said when we we're first speaking that the call was going to be 10 minutes...so Bonus time!
Coin with The Navy Seal on Front and engrave-able on back.
Angel, I chose this one, instead of getting him his (After "A" School) Rate.
There is quite a lot of room and I put:
Name
Ship 07, Div 060
PIR February 3, 2012
Great Lakes RTC
~MC Bound~
After "A" School, I will gift him with a Rate coin.
It's a nice memento and relatively inexpensive.
Sorry I was MIA today. I was on a ribbon mission :-) And got a lot of ribbons made.
Some of you may have gotten your ribbons in the mail today that were sent the end of last week. Please let me know how you like them.
I hope you all had a wonderful day :-)
Me too! Mine had to go back to the tailor because he lost so much more, he said inches... i cannot wait to see him!!
Thanks Angel!
winterrosebud: Thanks for for porting the answer. What a neat contest.
When talking to my SR yesterday he said he had his pic taken in his Dress Blues. I gotta tell you guys, I am about busting wanting to see that Picture.
I agree with diannep, that Big door opens and it is one amazing feeling. I am getting so excited for you guys.
Gayle, Just to let you know about what we were talking about yesterday, there is no limit on the number of SRs for PIR - there can be from 50 - 100.
Gayle- Go to facebook and like this page. http://www.facebook.com/NavyRecruitTrainingCommand
Each Tuesday at high noon Central Time, we will hold a the Trivia Tuesday Contest. We will post a trivia question on our Facebook wall. The answer to that question may be found on our website at www.bootcamp.navy.mil. The first person to correctly answer the question will be rewarded with a group photograph of the division of their choice which we will post on our Facebook wall.
TRIVIA TUESDAY CONTEST RULES
1. All answers must be posted under the same thread as the question. Do NOT post your answer sepately from the question on the wall. Let us be clear: DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWER AS A SEPARATE POST FROM THE QUESTION THREAD. Such posts will be disqualified and deleted.
2. Your answer must be posted exactly as it appears on our website. This includes spelling, punctuation, all of it. If your answer is not posted exactly as it appears on our website, it will be incorrect. The purpose of this is to do just as your recruits are being trained to do: attention to detail.
3. Do not post any more information than what we ask for. For example, if the answer we seek is one sentence within a paragraph or paragraphs of other sentences, do not post that entire paragraph. The one sentence that contains the correct answer is all that we seek. Posting an entire page of info or multiple sentences or paragraphs will not garner you a win.
4. The same division can only be photographed once. Anyone whose division has already been photographed is welcome to continue playing the contest, however, should that person win, they would have to choose another division to be photographed.
5. The person who wins can request that their recruit be front and center in the photo, however, there is no guarantee that we can make that happen. It all depends on the setting in which the division is being photographed. There are times when we cannot rearrange them to put someone specific up front. Please do not request the names of other recruits to also be front and center as we will not honor that request.
6. We will photograph the winning division as time permits in the division's schedule as well as the photographer's schedule. Sometimes the photo will be posted the same day, other times it might be a week or so later.
7. Other job responsibilities take priority over this contest, thus, should our office be short-handed or tending to more pressing job duties, the contest will either be delayed by a day or not held at all that week.
