For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Yes, she sure is adorable, Lala. She was supposed to be my son's girl! Ok, so they never met nor saw one another...whatever. It was to be a setup, right? HA! But so glad she is a happy married lady to a very lucky guy!

Yes, division+brother division train together so are on the same training day. All divisions are within a few days of each other in training.

You should see my son, he is hottie or so I have been told. Some of my Navy mom friends saw his modeling pics on my facebook and they went a little crazy haha, I can't believe he is almost 30 now. Time flies :-)

My son said last week they went through hell week and I read that was in week 4, so this week would be week 5. But who knows! As longs as PIR is still Feb 3, they can be in any week!

Comment by AZKmom on January 11, 2012 at 4:34pm: dragon7....the tolls went up Jan. 1st. Some tolls are unmanned and you would need exact change for those. I'm not positive on the amounts but they could be anywhere from .90 to 1.50. Those are the tolls to enter or exit the tollway. There may be 1 or 2 of those between the airport and Great Lakes. The manned tollbooths that are actually on the toll road are more expensive than that but there is a cash lane that will make change for bills. I live north of GL about an hour in SE Wisconsin so have experience with the toll roads but we have an IPass so don't really pay attention to how much money we need to have with us or where exactly they are located since we can just drive through the IPass lane. Hope that helps a little bit.
