I went to  Holmsby orchards yesterday.. Today was the last day for pick your own..I am back home.. got back about 3 pm...Well I did get my hair done.. eyebrows.. the works. Where I went was in Groton. "Shear Friends" Its acroos the street from the  road we go down to get to my sister's place. She lives in military housing in the Vet section.. nice place. I  really enjoyed myself but its nice to be home. We went and got my "slice of heaven", then I found out that there's another one in Stonington. we went to Mystic village on Friday. The  shops are fab. We laso went to a   fabric place called "affordable Fabric".. 2.99 a yard for everything. I spend 12.00.. bought this  christmas fabric that I think is dry clean only. total 4 yds. 1 yd with red reindeers on red, 1 yd red eindeers on green,1 yd- green with red holly and 1 yd- just plain red with a stripe effect. they had a winnie the poo tree skirt material.. but i passed on that. I finished the  p/c I started for my nieces and nephews for  christmas lasr year Thre ones for my sister's grandchildren I left with her so she could include them in their  Christmas  box. We went by my hubby's old base a few times. HE was stationed at the regular  ship  yard  across from the Coast  guard base. One of the houses I helped clean was in Noank.. right on the waterfront with all the  biats.. I tried to take pictures but wouldn't you know it, the battery was running low... We also went to Stonington.. My sister showed me this  summer house.. Right on the water front the waves were really coming in.. It was breathtaking.. but of course this was the same day the camera was down. Well that's my news for now.. I will be back in Groton sometime in JAnuary.. I think this time for 2 weeks... but definitely one.. I got home and it was a mess, the guys lived on what ever was in the freezer, 'fridge, and macroni and cheese. I made chicken tonite with noodles and bread crumbs. My  15 yr old said.. wow.. a real meal"...

well  I have been here since Sunday, having a blast with my sister, Last nite we went to Mohegan Sun.My bil is a dealer in one of the casinos. We went to eat in Bobby Flay's Burgers. I actually ate a whole burger. which shocked me since I don't eat burgers all that often. The bus ride here wasn't all that bad. Tomorrow is  girls day out.. the salon, getting my hair done and making myself  look  breathtaking. Saturday is Mystic seaport and my "slice of Heaven" I am getting a slice of pizza from the place that held the movie. Well i guess that's it for now, going to clean our last house for this week. Talk to you all later..

My son is doing pretty good, thanks. I hope to see him within a month!

I understand what you're saying about superiors; my son has not had exactly that trouble, but he has witnessed some choose-someone-to-yell-at-just-to-yell-at-someone behavior.

Oh, have fun, Nita! Sorry that our really pleasant weather has passed somewhat, but the leaves are starting to get pretty. :)

Hi Flyersnut -- So happy that you stopped in to say hi, but sorry that your hubby is having health issues. I hope that it isn't too serious and gets straightened out right away. I do have a cardiologist that I love (my parents go to see him), so if you need a recommendation, please let me know.

Get together -- yes!

There was a breakfast get-together; did that happen?
