Hey, just checked our stats. We've now got 24 members in this group! How many do we need to commission our own submarine?

Don't know why Jack sent this to me privately, but here was the picture he sent me of himself

If I Had My Child To Raise Over Again
If I had my child to raise all over again,

I’d build self-esteem first, and the house later.

I’d finger paint more, and point the finger less.

I would do less correcting and more connecting.

I’d take my eyes off my watch, and watch with my eyes.

I would care to know less and know to care more.

I’d take more hikes and fly more kites.

I’d stop playing serious, and seriously play.

I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars,

I’d do more hugging and less tugging.

I’d see the oak tree in the acorn more often,

I would be firm less often, and affirm much more.

I’d model less about the love of power,

And more about the power of love.

Too bad you can't make it - picturing you with a parasol and crumpets though - interesting vision I have!

Sorry-- won't be up that way on Saturday... I keep hearing that song in my head-- "Stuck in the Middle with you."  I have 3 boys, and my two youngers have all kinds of Saturday activities that require shuttling about.  My wifey will be out quilting (teaching a class) so it's Dad's Taxi time.  As much as it would be fun to be the center of attention-- like an oddity at a Ripley's Believe it or not Museum.... I'll have to miss this meeting. lol  Maybe next time though... I'll bring a parasol and crumpets.

Speaking of remotes...TV's...for your viewing (?) pleasure(?). Hey, it's hot...I'm bored.

(Don't know how many of you have those that watched the "Beav-oirs")

Oh Jack - you should definitely stop by our tea.  We can sit you in the middle and then all take turns trying to figure you (men) out.....if that is at all possible!

Comment by Concernedad on July 10, 2012 at 4:31pm

eeek, a woman with the remote?!! What's more scary?
