Wow Bunker you are a die-hart Rocker.  My first concert was when I was 13, Led Zeppelin at the forum.  One of the best concerts I saw was Neil Young, I remember my hands being swollen and my voice disappeared.  Worst concert Black Sabbath at Hollywood Bowl, band members were so high they couldn't perform.  In those days to get tickets you would have to spend the night in line, I couldn't imagine allowing my girls to that, no convenience of on-line ticketing. Two of the best concerts I have seen  recently, Rod Stewart  in Sacramento and Chicago & Earthwind & Fire together at a private party in San Francisco.

We just saw Quiet Riot a couple weeks ago at a Heavy Metal Festival in San Antonio, the base player is a high school friend of my husband. Then we saw him playing the next weekend with the Platinum Rock Stars at the Sagebrush Cantina  in Calabasas.

We still enjoy rock concerts, but we see a lot of Smooth Jazz concerts, many of these artists come from a Rock back_round, there live concerts are much better then hearing them on the radio.  They still like to Rock.

In the late 70's and 80's concert tickets were $10.00 - 15.00 dollars.

Eat your heart out rockers. I have been to concert for: the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Doors, Steppenwolf, Pointer Sisters, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Ike & Tina Turner, BB King, Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead, Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell, Cream, Poco, Moody Blues, Chicago, Earth Wind & Fire and a bunch whose name escapes me - ahhhh  those were the days.

Im not a valley girl. Always been in the Inland Empire. I live  in Claremont and looking forward to meeting lots of Navy Moms. My son was at Camp Pendleton for FMTB graduated in June and is in  Twenty-Nine Palms and enjoying his assignment. Everyone have a great night.

Pretty soon we will make a list of where everyone is from and perhaps divide up in subgroups, so later on will probably have a Valley subgroup.  But would like to keep building this group for awhile, before we do that.  Trying to get the momentum going and get a good base.  I figure more will join as we get closer to Jan 21.   :-)

Looks like we are going to have lots of "Valley Girls".

I was a Valley Girl too.  Loved that song and "like totally" related to the movie. I was also a Hollywood clubber in the '80's. Good times!

There was a saying, "You can take the girl out of the Valley but you can't take the Valley out of the girl." LOL. We are having a meet and greet in Jan too here in San Fran area - probably at Travis AFB or nearby - in case any of you are traveling north. Believe it or not, a bunch of my high school classmates are coming up from Glendale to Cupertino/Santa Clara Valley for a "mini reunion" - our 45th!!!  I know. I know. We are really old.
