FIRETEAMLEADER:  Boy I am glad to find you in another group with me.  What is that now four?  Can't wait to meet!  Love "Valley Girl" I am pre-that song....but definitely one 56 years in the "Val".

FireTeamLeaderWife, thank you ,  getting this group up and running is a team effort.  Thank you for your guidance through bootcamp and helping with the PIR groups,  I wasn't aware of N4M's until Justin had been in bootcamp for 2 weeks, I really felt alone in my feelings until I joined our PIR group, the husband just didn't understand, what a God send to discover I wasn't alone and the tears and loneliness were not so unusual during that time.

FTWL ohh, I am giggling.... I get the only having so much to give.  I played around with the idea of this, but really, it wasn't until Elizabeth contacted me and we decided to go for it.  And, wow, Elizabeth knows how to "totally" invite the world!!! (meant as super -duper praise)

Bandito's Mom - I thought about.it ...VERY briefly...but didn't need another "compartment" in my head! It just wouldn't't have fit...trying to head it up that is. There are usually seven PIR groups running at a time and a new one every week...enough for me as far as where my "niche"is. But, I am glad to participate and help in whatever way I can! Tubular!

FTWL too funny!!!!! and to think Oh My God now lives as OMG!!!!  I was behind the Orange Curtain growing up.  My mom was soooo upset at us for saying bitchen all the time.

So glad that you are in our area.

And LadyHawk too.  I am surprised that no one made the group earlier.

Barbara (Katy's Mom) I am now in the So Bay!  Saw some Blue Star Moms at the Torrance Military Pride day, but didn't stop or even say hi... my bad...

Fireteamwifeleaderwife, posting the Frank Zappa song is to funny, I always told my kids that that song was written about my friends, and the movie was about us also. Ooh My God.

Hellloooo everyone!

My son graduated last May...he is currently still in "A" school (BU for Seabees - reservist) and slated to be done in December.

I am currently active as a "veteran" mom (I'm still claiming "junior vet" staus ...for when I screw something up LOL) on the PIR groups and help launch the upcoming PIR groups...which I thoroughly enjoy! I love watching the ladies transition over the eight weeks and the groups bonding up! It's a priviledge and a joy.

Thank you Bandito's Mom for starting this group! Apparently one was needed for this specific area...who woulda thought!

Oh and don't let where I live that's posted on my page fool you, I just picked a random zip. I am a "Val"... grew up there and now live about 45 miles north of there...you figure it out!

Have January 21st marked on the calendar...sounds wonderful!

For all you other "vals" out there! Okay...I like don't really talk like that anymore!

Wow, look how quickly this group has grown. It is nice to see so many CA families. My son is currently in New Hampshire and will remain stationed on the East Coast for 2 years until he goes to San Diego. Miss him tons and thank goodness for Skype!!
