Also heard from my son regarding the delay today.  Hoping it's not too long and he's still home for Christmas.

Ok thanks, please keep me informed. I would really like to meet the ship when it comes back in. I would love to have my sailor home by Christmas!

Mommathree, We've been getting some info from our son via facebook messaging.  It seems that he has access when they are in port.  The USS Peleliu has a fb page and they post photos and info regularly.  You may be able to access some of it through navy.com and the ship's info.

We are not supposed to post dates on this site, so if you want to send me a private message I can give you the date they are "planning" on returning to home port.

Hello ladies, my son is deployed on the USS Peleliu also, but I haven't heard from him since he deployed. I am trying to find out how he is doing, and how do we go about finding out when they will be back in San Diego, we want to surprise him. We live in Virginia. So any info we can get would be grateful.
