Good Morning y'all! Dusting of snow here in NW AR this AM. New puppy DID NOT think it was fun! Little scamp ran right back in a left me a "nice" present on the only rug in my house! UGH!
I too am trying to get used to the "quiet" in the house. Not that my son really stayed at home much after graduation, but knowing that he was around was nice. I think that it will really "hit" me after PIR. right now I still have a ends to a means. Gearing up and making plans for PIR and Christmas and all. Think I will try to find a "new groove'... take a cooking class, book club, something. I had kids young and grandkids can wait a few years sooooo watch out hubby .... hahahahahaha!!
Double- dipping today ( just random thinking )
This nation was built by men who took risks - pioneers who were not afraid of the wilderness, business men who were not afraid of failure, scientists who were not afraid of the truth, thinkers who were not afraid of progress, dreamers who were not afraid of action. ~Brooks Atkinson

Thank you Diannep. My son is going to A school in GL. He said he doesnt have a leave. So we just spend time after PIR.
sorry for the typos LOL....getting sleepy
Craig my daughter took underwear bra's & 1 white sports bra because she read in the depper list of things to take to boot camp it listed 2 white bra's and 1 white sports bra & underwear. I just checked my " kid in a box" They had my daughters send everything home that she tok with her along with the 2 white bra's and 1 sports bra that is on the list of things for the girls to pack.
I am guessing the provide all of that stuff since it was all sent back home, so I would say not to take any of that stuff otherwise it is more the SR has to send home or donate to charity
Need some help -
I just received this today from a female depper on my website:
--------------------------------------------
"I read somewhere that we (females) could bring our own sports bras. However I went to the website :
http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/what_to_bring.asp
And on the bottom it says that Females are not allowed to bring their own bras, underwear, etc. So which is it?
I would realllly like to bring my own sport bras... I fear that the ones they provide aren't.... well... supportive enough."
-------------------
Can someone ask their sailors what the true answer is.
Thanks
Yes you will! I always keep either music or the tv on...sometimes it is TOO quiet! HA!
diannep, true. I guess I will get a taste of that this week, as my hubby is in NM.
Betsy: Remember, I have no hubby here so my house was REALLY quiet with no boys here....I was relieved just to hear my dogs bark for some sound! It does take some getting used to.
natalie'smom: I have never heard of one to fail the confidence "gas" chamber. They have to remove their mask and state their name, etc...but they get it done. Not pleasant, but usually a few minutes after they get out of there....coughing with lots of "snot" (sorry!), they are laughing about it because the did it and it's over! So no worries!
Prayers being said for your family too, FTLW.
Woohoo on your new Seabee! I bet your hubby and son are so excited! Did you hubby take his camera? I wanna see pics. :)
((Hugs)) on your pets. Wishes for a quick recovery for them.
