Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

She was so excited by the fact that they gave her and military discount!! :) We are so proud of how much she has grown! We are going to see the city tomorrow and will have a half day with her on Saturday. Time is going by too quickly.

Comment by diannep on December 29, 2011 at 8:53am: THE DAY HAS ARRIVED! Hope that some of you are on your way to RTC and ready to enter the PIR hall. Have a wonderful adventure! Remember to order extra pics in the NEX after PIR if you like, and make sure to order the PIR DVD ($29). Don't get caught up too much in filming it yourself...make sure to take time to enjoy every moment of today's ceremony. Have Kleenex available for those who may get emotional like I did (even though I didn't spot my SR during the entire ceremony...maybe THAT is why I cried? :-) ).

I'm so excited I know I won't sleep tonight! I have plenty of Kleenex handy, we can't wait to see our son. See you all tomorrow,dress warmly, it's pretty cold.
