Yes, corpsmen school has been in San Antonio for a while now. Be sure to join their group on this site for lots of info.

It's only been 4 days since my son left for BC. Still trying to deal with not being able to talk to him on a daily basis, but it is getting better. I've been using the day-to-day activities list to help me cope....it's nice knowing what he's going through during the day. I called his recruiter today to get his address and found out he is with ship 012, division 030. I was also told that A school for corpsman has been changed. It will no longer be in Great Lakes. They are moving it to San Antonio, Texas. As of now (I'm sure this will change, but his recruiter was pretty sure this is the way things will work) after PIR on 12/29 we will be able to spend time with him during the day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (he will have to report back at night) and he will fly to Texas Monday morning. Hope this helps all those with SR's that are going corpsman.

GOOD MORNING ALL!  One day closer to Sunday...hoping our recruits get mail then.  That will definitely put a smile on their face!

@ Momshousedivided - HILARIOUS!

nataliesmom:  Cards are fine...just not singing ones, and plain white envelopes please!

Good morning everyone!  NO FORM LETTER AGIAN! Geez!

Oh well!  I am not gonna let it get me too upset!  No news is always good news at this point. ( well form letters are kinda needed)  I do a thing at work where I find small sayings or humorous diddies and write them on a eraser board that is in our staff room. It kinda gives me a inner giggle or an uplifting "ah"!  So here we go....

Why does Sea World have a seafood restaurant?? I'm halfway through my fish burger and I realize, Oh man....I could be eating a slow learner."

Ok i have a twisted sense of humor.. hahahaha

ENJOY YOUR DAY!

RuthL - I'm not sure what grade you teach, however, I write a bunch of stuff about famous veterans to motivate the deppers on my website (NavyDEP.com).  I also post alot of that information here at N4M too.

So if you need some stories to share, just go to this link....

My daughters b-day is on the 11th of this month. I want to send her a card, but hesitant? Anyone have advise on this? I do not want to cause her any problems or the division problems, but after all she will be turning 18.......

Ladies, I agree with diannep (and I'm pretty sure that Tansmom was kidding), but please do not send any musical cards to your SR's.  They will be embarrassed and possibly be a reason for their division to get IT.  Also, when you do send letters or cards, please keep your envelopes white and do not write any cute messages on the envelopes.  Since the holidays are coming, please also remember to tell all your friends/family not to send any packages/cookies, etc.  You wouldn't want them to get in trouble or to be made an example of in their division.
