You can bring their Cell phones and laptops to the Airport for your Sailors. That way they have them and you don't have to ship them later.

I couldn't hear my son either - it was very staticy.  He thought it was my phone.  We got through the whole call though - he's a sailor - I'm sooooo happy I can hardly stand it.  I feel sooo much better than I did at 2 p.m. today.  Congrats to 946 - we love all of you!!!!

desireenavygf,  I have never heard of a Sailor not being able to spend time with their loved ones at Midway or Chicago Ohare.

Everything will turn out great and you will get to see your Sailors at the airport.

Ladies, maybe you should exchange phone numbers via personal message. That way if your Sailors end up at the same airports, you can communicate.

Comment by diannep on September 27, 2011 at 6:07pm

iwagot:  With a flight that late, you all may want to visit something in Chicago once you meet up at the airport.  Ask in the USO about it.  I know many do this when on late flights like that.  The USO personnel will usually tell you just to be back in PLENTY of time for the flight...pass this by your daughter after PIR and see what she thinks.  She can't ask about it at RTC...she will need to check with the USO people at Midway.  I posted the Midway USO phone number in a post below to Micaela if you want to call them and ask about this.

Sandy's info below is right on about the pass.
