Back home, finally and able to access a computer. PIR was wonderful. Meeting people was wonderful. It was a truly great weekend. And my sailor and I are SO happy she now has her cell phone. Pensacola is a long way from home but at least we can now communicate without waiting days and days.

Made it through, boot camp that is. RTC is a great facility. Impressive.

Part of me wants to go back. Boot camp feels more controlled than what lies ahead. Let go and let God, right.

Thank you ladies for all your support, funny stories, comiserating.

Ladies, Congratulations on your new sailors!  Don't forget to join your A school groups now.  Just go to the Groups page and type in the place in the search.  You will find them there.  They have wonderful ladies (and some gentlemen too) on those groups who are a wealth of information.  You are now starting another wonderful adventure as your sailor goes to A school.

Comment by desireenavygf (Ship 11 DIV 322) on October 3, 2011 at 7:12am
hello ladies made it back home from PIR late last night. Now its back to work time gggrrrr. PIR was amazing to bad it had to come to an end seeing my sailor broad the plane had to be the hardest thing to go through the tears could not stop flowing. Although he can now text and call me its still hard and i still miss him.

It is really hard to get used to them not living at home. Saying good bye at the end of PIR weekend was the worst. I have to admit that I cried just like you 1stlove. I will say that once your Son/daughter gets to (A)school and calls or Skypes you. You will feel a lot better. They have the freedom to contact you now that they are not in boot camp. You won't feel so isolated from them.

It gets easier as time goes by.
