first time we had no car, spent a lot on taxi's because every time Steve had to go back to base we had to go with him so it was another twi way trip to pick him up and take him back, then a taxi to Midway. Second time we got a car and drove everywhere. Also we noticed that the taxi's took a "scenic route to base. When we had a car we drove right there and back in half the time.

She was trying to suck up the open blisters too!! She said she's never been so happy to see my band aids in a letter!!

I wish my son would have gone to medical, but he is in tough guy wont go mentality.  Hope it down not bite him in the you know were later because he didn't go, if it caused problems later. Good she did go.

Oh no Cathy You better check the settings on your phone.. He will call again sometime. If the Division works well together they get many calls and when they do they can talk up to 1/2 hour.

Cathy...OMG I hate smart phones too! How can there be a STUPID setting like that? My heart goes out to you. This is not what you needed today. Maybe if you write a letter to Bryce, it will make you feel better. I sure hope he got through to somebody. Disy is right...it did sound like he had a sense of humor about it. Sending big HUGS your way :)

So sorry you missed Bryce too!! Does he have your hubby's number? Did he try and call him? Or his girlfriend? Just someone you can call! Don't be sad! Stay strong! Look how he's kept his humor!

Co-Twin - she said she tried to suck it up but eventually could not even put on her boot! Right now she is having to wear her trainers!

Twinsailorsmom - thank you ! Looked at the car vs taxi - you're right! Even one taxi plus tip it would be worth having a car!

He called Thursday just before 10 and then again today. I missed 3 calls from Bryce today. My phone was set to a not allow unsaved calls
I hate smart phones, who knew that was even a option. He left me a message that said "really mom your not taking my calls" I am so sad right now. I think I will have a break down.
Comment by CO-TwinSalorsMom on August 17, 2013 at 3:07pm

Did you get the Thursday night call? or was this the I've arrived call? That is what it sounds like.  The script is what they say.  It is a little late Or did he just arrive today or yesterday? Look at it this way You did not miss this one!

Praying for Twinkle 1's swollen ankle.  So many seem to injure ankles. Sam injured his and just gritted his teeth and did not go to medical.  At the end he did have to get something from medical to transfer to A School and had it x rayed and he had fractured it!! Doc said it was healed at that point and looked fine.

Any way will pray for skinny ankles.

Cathy...did he call you when he first got to RTC? Maybe that was his "I'm here call." I'm hoping one of the gals who is more seasoned can help. Praying that everything is normal.

Disy...I hope everything is alright with your daughter. I know she is determined and will tough it out and get through it.

Doubletrouble...hope you get that letter today! It's just gotta show up!
