I am afraid you have to wait for the letter. It will come any time I should think, the box can take alittle over a week and the letter follows shortly after.

Can anyone tell me where to find the list of PIR dates & ship/divisions. I haven't received Darien's box or letter, but I wanted to see who might already be in the same PIR group that I think we might be in.

So glad to hear the update Doubletrouble and from Cathy too.  Good to hear you survived pretty well today Doubletrouble.  Awww...special hugs are the best. We certainly don't get enough of them around our house.  I think we need to start practicing now!  LOL  It's good to hear that Jacob had an easier time with the transition away from gf and home, and I knew you could handle it :)

Cathy, I know you didn't have to truly say goodbye today, but I'm sure you're still going through the feelings you had just a couple weeks ago.  Hang in there and enjoy that special moment at the Cardinal's stadium.  That is so COOL! You wrapped it all up perfectly regarding how us Mom's feel.  We are being selfish when we feel that way.  I never quite thought of it like that, but it's so true.

I think that idea of PMing all the info about our kids to CO-twin is a good idea and keeping it in a discussion so we can add to it at any time will make it work when our group gets bigger.  I'm getting better at remembering who is who and who has what, but I know I will still make mistakes, especially with all the different PIR dates.  After each of your recruits head to A-school or their respective ships, it might get a little easier.  NOT!  LOL

I agree with sierra, I'm totally addicted to this group. I read some of the other hroup' I've joined, but agree that I get caught up in the emotions. I think I did remarkably good today when we said our goodbyes to Jacob. I did hug him a little tighter & longer &he did too, I loved it! I teared up a little, but not bad. I think his gf handled it beautifully so he wasn't upset like Darien was &that made it easier on me & my husband. The recruiter kept saying y'all have been thru this so you can do this.
Cathy, hope you're doing ok.

CO-Twin, I think we should just PM you our information on all of are kids and then you can make a cheat sheet and put it in the discussions, then we could pull it up a print it, what do you think??

Negativity, doesn't help at all, it is one thing to be a little sad and missing our SR or Sailor, I have had my moments, but they are selfish moments, I am not sad for them or even that worried about them, I know that they are OK or I would have heard something, right?? I am sad for myself that I no longer have my kids at home, sad to lose the normal that I lived and now have to find a new normal. When I am sad it is all about me. Because when I think about the boys and what they have to look forward to, I get excited for the.

DoubleTrouble, How is it going?? It is different for me, I will see him again on Wednesday and until then he still has his phone, so this won't hit my til he leaves Busch stadium with the rest of his division. When they stand up to leave I think it will be a very emotional moment.

Oh, I want all of you to know I don't think any of us are negative, we are really good at lifting each other up and the tone is always pretty positive.

3boys, Enjoy your time with your Sailor, it is great that  you are getting to spend time with him.

Disy, I am sure you will get your letter soon, No news is good news right. It is probably because she had hold days, you think?? Anyway I am sure you will get it soon.

I want to say thanks to my favorite Navy mom's for being so great!!

WAHOO!!!  Madlibs are FUN!  I tested out the whole story on my boss and a coworker who has a son in the Army today.  We all laughed at quite a few, but I think there still needs to be some tweaking.  I hope you all make some madlibs too.  It's hard to get started, but then it gets fun and just moves right along.  I basically read and re-read the What Happens at BC to try to get all the things that happen when they first arrive.  I can't wait to see what you gals come up with.  Don't be afraid to give it a shot.

Disy...just stay positive for your daughter.  She is looking for confirmation that she can do it and needs to hear it from Mom and Dad for sure. I'm grateful to hear all of your experiences so that I can prepare myself for the future.  I'm kind of addicted to our group especially and it's a good thing it's positive.  I will be sure to keep my addiction in check when Jonathan gets in his division at BC as I am not the kind of person who likes to be around drama. I will just spend all of my time here with you WONDERFUL ladies :)

I am amazed how sometimes the mom's seem to feed off each others worry and it can seem like total chaos in the comments. One worries about something and gets someone else to worry. On Destroyer moms there was bedlam over ship to shore phone cards for 3 days!! I am lucky because IT's have a phone in their room where they work and if he is not working he can call me. Nice little perk.

Sierrascrapper - thank you for your words - you absolutely nailed it on the head! Negativity is a dangerous thing! I hope the my SR is keeping her spirits up and I know she knows we support her and her decision and we know she's made of the right stuff to succeed! Like you Co-Twin I am proud and I miss her but I am pleased she is getting on with her life and moving forward! 3boys - I think a break is necessary !

So with that said we are working on some Mad libs !!, :0)
