You know what helps me keep rank and rate straight is that when a sailor is choosing his job...they give him a "Rating Card" that describes their responsibilities in that job.  So whenever I see the two words Rank and Rate or Rating...I think about the Rating Card and it helps me remember the right one I'm referring to.  Clear as mud right????  LOL

Looks good CO-twin.  THANKS!  It will surely be helpful to have something to reference for our members.

I'm not sure if you gals are in the Care Package Group or not...but I wanted to share a link with you gals that my AF mom friend who lives here sent me.  It's for making a  Cake in a Jar  I thought you gals might want to do this for your sailors after they get to A-school or are deployed on a ship.  I think it would be so cool to send for their birthday!

OK Thanks

Sierrascrapper: husband in identical twin,

Jonathan, Leaves July 1, 14

Nathanael, Secondary Ed English / Graphic Digital Arts

Sam went to BC thinking his job would be MM but he did change it in BC to EM.

I aways get rate and rank confused What I mean is what job are they signed up for.

Comment by Sierrascrapper (ETN2) on August 1, 2013 at 6:04pm

CO-twin...of course I know you already know that we won't know my son's rating until after BC...but we can update that later.  He is shipping out on July 1, 2014.  Just a minor correction...Nathanael is with an E not an I.  Also...he is pursuing a Secondary Education degree in English with a minor in Graphic/Digital Arts.

PS...I found it kinda funny how that first sentence came out.  LOL

Cathy are you OK we are here for you.  I for fun was in my new tent last night but had my iPad. I was so sorry for your missed call.

I barely heard that news of the sailor hit by a car, it happened also to another sailor in I think Mumbai? or Dubai? They should warn our sailors of posable traffic dangers in other countries that have different laws than we have.

There also were 2 sailors killed in auto accidents stateside recently, the sailor who fell off a sub and a missing officer in Jacksonville, FL. Prayers for all those families and their fellow sailors who will miss them.

Cindib not sure where your post went so I copies and pasted it here.

Who is your #2? and what are their jobs going to be? Did one decide first?  I am so proud of mine as I know everyone here is.  two of the ladies said their goodbyes yesterday.

A message from Cindib to all members of Twins and multiples in the Navy on Navy For Moms!

My boys are waiting to leave for basic.  Twin #1 Brian leaves in October and #2 is set to leave in March ( I guess they have to send a request to send him earlier). My boys are both excited about the choice they made so I know this was a great decision for them and I'm very proud of hem but not sure what to expect from this point.

This was in my emails but I can not find the message here, not sure where she posted it. but here it is

Cathy, so sorry to hear that, but as others have said, now you can listen to it over and over.  Its such a short call you wouldnt have been able to talk to him anyway.  I know it still hurts to miss it.

Co-Twin, praying for better luck with this test.  Its such a difficult area and so much pressure for these kids to learn so much in a short time, but I know he'll do it!

I think they call in shifts so they would have been in the same room.
