Disy...I know exactly what you mean about parents on FB. I wish my Mom was on FB so she could keep up with all the happenings in the family, and not just mine. Luckily, my Mom lives only 40 min away, but I'm the only close one. Still sometimes it's easy to get caught up in life and forget to tell the rest of the fam.

It's funny thinking about the difference in your household with all the girls. How do you handle all the drama of girls? I could never survive. God knew what I could handle. LOL

So Disy in the navy you have female twins.

I missed they just don't hold ankles on Fridays, they hold ankles for sit ups.

For future reference. the pack comes with tape, labels, customs forms.

You can order a "military pack" of six flat-rate boxes, customs forms, tape and address labels from USPS - call 800-610-8734 and tell them you want the military pack. Or order a pack of 10 or 25 here:  Priority Mail Flat Rate APO/FPO Boxes (https://store.usps.com/store/browse/uspsProductDetailMultiSkuDropDo...).  Either way, they'll be delivered to you free and shipping is discounted $2 when sent to FPO addresses, so $14.85 for up to 70 lbs.  Planning you next box to mail is a good way to feel connected to your sailor :)

OMG...you are making me roll on the floor right now CO-twin!

I like the idea of making up a NAVY mad-lib for my son.  However, I might save that one for A-school as he could have a little more free-time to enjoy it with his classmates during their down-time.  I have a friend whose husband just retired from the Navy last year at 46.  She is really clever and I bet together they could help me put together something fabulous.  Thanks for the extra info on free time at BC.  I had read that some moms send crosswords, so I thought just a page with a simple puzzle or teaser on it might be a good way to just release a little and stretch the mind.  Maybe I will only send one puzzle page per week instead of including it in each letter.

My sons said they first of all refer to girls as females, secondly on fridays and Saturdays they were know as their hairy sisters, as females can only shave on Sundays and by friday when recruits hold each others ankles they are a bit prickly. LOL

Also keep in mind that they will not have a lot of free time in BC.  They usually get a scheduled time (Sunday) to write letters.

You could make up your own version of Mad Libs for Navy.  Could be really fun.

Speaking of letters for the recruits.  I've read the section on N4M about fun letters to send etc.  I was thinking of sending a puzzle page or something in each letter.  Anyone have any good suggestions of books that I could tear a page out of etc?  I'm thinking something like a brain teaser book, but a FUN one and not one that is for little kiddos.  I've been trying to look at B&N and Amazon.  I think I'm going to have to dig a little deeper and try some other search terms.  I just thought it might be something nice for him to take his mind off of everything going on around him.

Hope you get a good night of sleep Cathymg...we can all relate. Even me who still has a long ways to go til BC.  Some nights I tried everything I could think of to shut my brain off and nothing worked.  I tried saying the word SLEEP over and over again.  I tried praying...I tried getting up and sitting at a boring game on the computer.  Nothing.  Thinking about you ((((HUGS))))
