Fine young men you have there Cathymg. We don't live in a small town...there are 8 high schools here and 3 in the adjoining town. My sons attend different high schools. Jonathan goes to a traditional HS. The school system here is pretty good. We live in a decent neighborhood thankfully. In fact, when we moved here we purposely picked this neighborhood to live in because of the schools. Both kids are taking AP classes at their school for their core subjects, but Nathanael's school is more specialized. He actually has a longer school day and takes more courses during the school year. So...his hard work is paying off.
This has been fun sharing stories and pics. I have now realized that I haven't taken a lot of pics of the boys together much lately. Guess I need to make a mental note to do it more often this year. I've got lots of single pics of each of them, but not much of them together. Those will mean a lot more after Jonathan leaves, so I better get them in now.
So I guess my boys are the only ones who have their Drivers License, and maybe that hasn't went so well, at least not lately. We live in a small community and everyone gets their DL as soon as they turn 16. It also sounds like you have a better choice of schools and better education system. We were lucky to have a English class that also gave college credits. We would probably be considered kind of rednecks. But my daughter is very much into the arts, but she didn't get that from her parents, she is very much a free spirit. I love hearing about your kids. I think I will print another picture. My handsome boys at homecoming with their dates. Gregory is the one on the right and he was on the homecoming court and he is also the one who rolled his truck.
CO-twin ...my other son Nathanael is the artistic one. He likes to draw a lot and he likes photography and filmography and he's a total GEEK, but I love him that way. He has been attending a career/tech high school since his freshman year and is specializing in graphic arts/ communication. He has to go to the local community college for at least a semester after high school as he is earning college credits in his field while in high school. We will have to check out Humboldt too. He really wants to become an English teacher and teach at a school like the one he goes to so that he can be like his favorite video/photography teacher.
We all have our own. I have a Mac at work and an iPad at home. both boys have a macbook.
Doubletrouble- LOL that is hilarious. I am always fighting for time on the computer with my boys. And we have 3 computers in the house! One seems to want to use the main computer and the laptop at the same time so he can chat.
Mine too about the hair. Once Steve's was so long that ar church camp the office asked if he was the pastors daughter. He was so horrified he never had it that long again. Sam has always liked his short.
Ooops...I SCREWED that up. I meant to say that Nathanael is on the left and Jonathan is on the right. WHOOPS! They both technically wear glasses...however Jonathan wears contacts. He will be sad without them at BC, but we will bring them for him when he graduates from BC and heads to A School. It's funny, they both seem to wear their hair long and short at different times.
Nice they are great looking guys, so the one with glasses is going navy right? In Boot Camp they will give him glasses commonly known as birth control glasses or BC Glasses also Boot Camp glasses. They are so ugly they are birth control. I have pictures of Sam in his at his Pass In Review. He looks like a tall Gaucho Marks. He got contacts ASAP in A school.
