So Steve has started his Atlantic crossing by now I think. He said mid atlantic has the roughest seas.  29 foot swells last summer, wonder if winter is worse.

I am very sad this afternoon. 8 years ago my boys got together and Steve got me a green iPod for Christmas and Sam got me a green Chinese Water Dragon lizard.

Today I gave away my high steppin lizard, named HSL, to her new home. She lived in an aquarium in my bathroom on a bench by the jacuzzi bathtub. Fed her raspberries this morning, her favorite. She was about 20" long and bright green.

feels like piece by piece my old life is going away. Can I really handle a totally new future?

Good news I found my printer. Sun out today but a bit nippy out. it was 9* I have it plugged in but the ink is frozen, hope the cold din't hurt it.

So is $269 a good price for a new silhouette Cameo with some extra paper and vinyl ? Sierra I am counting on you to coach me. Anything else I should get? replacement blade, how long do they last? extra mat? I want to get the pen set? Fabric blade?

CO-twin... Hope you are holding up with Sam being back at school and the shop being closed now. Just start planning how GREAT your future is going to be! Now is a good time to start laying the foundation for your new business venture after you finish school. It will give you more time to focus as life will be more hectic once you start culinary school. I'm so excited for you! I wish I could just start an entirely new path. I bet you qre getting REALLY EXCITED to see Steve in just a few weeks. I bet he is looking forward to some time on land. I sure hope Sam gets to welcome him home too.

Kandra... So good to hear both of your other boys were home. Hope you enjoyed the time you were able to spend with them while they were home.

It was an AMAZING trip. I still have to upload photos fromfrom my real camera as that is what I used for the band shots. I think I got some good close-ups of Jonathan in the parade in Disneyland. I will upload mymy shots and share the best.

And yes CO-twin you should get the BIG Silhouette machine. You won't regret having the largest size. How FUN to get new equipment! You will LOVE what you can do with it. I think some supplies for it are now available at Michael's. You might even be able to use the good coupons on those products unlike Cricut products.

Welcome home Sierra  sounds like a great trip. Do you have pictures of the disney marching? I saw your video of the Rose Parade.

Should I go ahead and get the Big silhouette? I sold the Cricket to the school.

Hey everyone! Hope you all had a nice New Years. We all made it back safely from Southern California. The studio we stayed in was so beautiful and cozy. It was so strange not having any children the entire time. Nathanael went down with the church youth group to decorate the Lutheran Laymen's League float for the Tournament of Roses Parade. We never saw him until we got back home. Jonathan left with the marching band and we saw him once for a moment in Disneyland. The rest of the time we were on our own. It was a very nice trip. We got to see the band do their last field show and we saw them march down Main St in Disneyland and in the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, Ca. That is the last time we will get to see Jonathan march until he has PIR.
We also received GREAT news from Montana State University for Nathanael while we were gone. He received scholarship offers to their school based on his SAT scores. We also got both of their ACT scores in this weekend. Both boys did REALLY well. We are so proud of both of them. I'm so glad that I only have to deal with one of them going to college though. This is some crazy stuff to try to figure out.

Kendra So glad that thru all the holiday season you got to see all three of your boys.  Where are Morgan and Zach going to school? I am terrible at remembering.

I got Sam home for almost 2 weeks. He is now back at GC. He returned to no room mate and he was glad for that. He called and talked while sorting through his stuff getting ready to move soon to Power School barracks. He will have a slightly bigger room there. I am learning more about what it will mean when he is all finished and gets his orders for sub duty. When on deployments there will be NO communication. That is going to be hard on mom, but I suspect it will be harder on my twins as they communicate almost daily.

Steve will come home from deployment this month.  He got to spend the holidays in Jerusalem how awesome is that.  then a week in Spain.

I closed down my business this week and it sure feels not right to not go anywhere every morning and it is too quiet, miss the social aspect of being a shop keeper.

Nate was home for Thanksgiving and was shipped to Bahrain the day after. Morgan and Zach were able to home at Christmas.
