Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Spritzz and gingerbread cookies CO-twin. I will work on posting a few off my faves tomorrow. I have got to get my butt to bed soon.
Tonight the marching band that Jonathan is in had a special preview concert featuring the music they will be playing in the parade. They also played the music from their field show that they have done all season. It was such a powerful and moving experience. I bawled my eyes out almost the whole time. The music was so dynamic hearing it inside as compared to outside. We only get to hear this one more time this season at the Tournament of Roses Parade. It's so hard to see this chapter of life ending even though there is so much to look forward to.

My twins were quite active his twin is an IT on deployment, he has not been happy as he is in a small room sitting with computers. However he emailed that he is actually having fun at his job the last couple of weeks. He is on deck doing maintenance on equipment he said, "mom I get to use power tools" he also is a rock and ice climber and has been a little stir crazy He volunteered to climb the mast to maintain the antenna equipment.

Sierra I almost didn't recognize you the tag pic is deferent.
New guys on here please post pics of your twins. If you look back at the begining of this group the original group all posted lots of pics of our kids as babies, toddlers teens and sailors as they had PIR. It is fun. How is everyones multiples handling the holidays apart?

We got another 6" of snow last night and the boys had to go take their SAT tests at the high school today. I got up early and shoveled the driveway and got the car all warmed up. I just hope they are doing well. We went and saw a performance of Handel's Messiah at the University last night. It was really nice. Such a moving performance and it was GREAT that the boys were with us too. I've always loved Handel's Messiah, but had never seen it performed live. It really was AWESOME! It started snowing right after we got out of the performance.
Just booked our accommodations for the Rose Parade today! We are staying in a private cottage near the area. We got our grandstand seat tickets and the tickets to BandFest the other day too! Only a few more weeks! This is going to be the BEST Christmas present ever! Yeah I know it's after Christmas, but this is all we are getting this year. We are hoping to try to score a KILLER deal on Disneyland tickets too so that we can see Jonathan march in the parade in Disneyland too.
It's so GREAT to hear about all the good news on here.Ellen, I'm so glad that your son is near his brother now. That should be a REAL morale booster for him.
Doubletrouble...YIPPEE! So glad your boys get to come home. What a wonderful way to spend Christmas and your birthday too!
Co-twin...man I thought it was cold here! GEEZ! You got buried too! Have fun getting all your decorations up to make it special for Sam and for Steve when he gets to come home. If you freshly cut your tree, it should last just fine. I hate to admit it, but I've left my tree up through late January and it was a bit crispy, but still not burning material. LOL I have the worst time being motivated to take my tree down. I think it's an emotional thing that I struggle with. It's hard to say goodbye to the special memories after a wonderful holiday.
Shellbell...Congrats on your new Sailor graduating from BC this week. Hope you have a safe trip back home and keep us up to date on how things are going for him in A-School in GC. Maybe he can connect with CO-twin's son.
Any other SRs graduate yesterday???

It was 18* below zero yesterday here now it is a balmy 8* below zero.
I hope you don't have to drive today. So happy for you that they both get to come home. That is the best. Who else is having sailors home? Disy will your twinkles be home? Sierra will be thinking of you for your maybe last one with your boys together. Cathy? Yours home? How are they doing at A school? How was PIR FOR there were three families right? The dad on here please pipe up and let us know how your twins are doing

Ellen how wonderful is that. Such a great thing to have your two boys together. Such a great support to each other. Congrats. You are getting them for Christmas too right? Or no? Mine come home , one for Christmas, my new Petty Officer, Sam. The other comes home from Deployment later. He requested I leave the tree up for him, even though it will be crispy. LOL.
