Wow, hard to believe Jonathan has been in DEP for six months now, and I've been on N4M that long too. Jonathan has another DEP meeting today. 229 days left til he leaves for BC. Man time sure flies! These next few months are going to be a whirlwind. So looking forward to the holidays. I know it will be difficult for some of you asas this will be the first holiday without your sons and daughters. I hope you can still make it special in some kind of way. I would love to hear what you are planning to do for your Sailors to make the holidays survival for them.

I went to the Veteran's Day Parade yesterday. It was such an honor to be there. Jonathan marched with the high school band. I wore my Navy t-shirt and it was so cool how many Vets who went by shouted out Go Navy! I was so pleased to see so much support from our community. Interesting fact...11% of Nevadans are Veterans.

Where were you traveling? How are your twins doing? They are both in A school right?

Comment by CO-TwinSalorsMom on November 9, 2013 at 3:07pm

Anyone else have awesome Navy memories so far to share?

Comment by CO-TwinSalorsMom on November 9, 2013 at 3:07pm

I remember last year going through all my lasts,...Last camping trip, last 4th, last thanksgiving, last Christmas Last easter, last birthday.  But you know Steve was on leave for another camping trip was awesome. Now Sam will be home for Christmas and Steve will miss Christmas but will be home for Ice Fest. So it will never be the end.  Hang in there but do enjoy to the fullest this year.  Make lots of memories and as you go through the Navy experience you will have lifetime super memories like PIR and if you go to  (Sam recommends) Power School Grad and any ship homecomings. If you get to do a Tiger Cruise.

Wow CO-twin, it's hard to believe that 6 months has almost already passed for Sam. Is he excited about graduating a-school and moving on to the next phase of Power School? It's hard toto believe that we are only 230 days from when Jonathan leaves for BC. The end of the first semester of school is almost here. Time just seems to be slipping through my fingers. Last night was the last football game of the season and they honored the Seniors in the band at halftime. Another "LAST" to cry through.
