My twins did not go in together either and the first to go is a IT (Information Technology) He is on his first deployment and will come back in January. He was always the leader twin. Red hair so he is the go for it kid.  His twin got talked into going when the recruiter found out his ASVAB score. He was always the follower and it has been good for him to be separate to discover himself.  He is flourishing at Nuke school. Just talked with him and he is almost done with A School. It was hard for him when his twin left at first, he was a little lost by himself so it is good he had structure to help him. So I got a January PIR and a June PIR so one really cold one and one warm nice one.

Both of my twins have wanted to go military they changed their minds about which branch though.Brett isn't going to Brian s pir because he wants to experience it for himself. And no they aren't going the same field so they will hardly see each other. Oh well. It will be good for them to find their own ways. So I guess I will be going to Chicago at least twice unless bretts pir is the same time as his little brother's high school graduation.  They also have an older sister but for now she is here in Colorado.

Kandra  I will be praying for you to get one of your triplets home for his birthday.  How are the three handling being apart? They are all through BC right so can keep in touch with each other regularly?  I think the separation at BC was tough on mine, actually Stephen called Sam on a few of those coveted calls home, He also faked needing info (like a phone # he knew by heart) and so called his Twin for it.

Shelley, Oh that is a long drive, I took the train from Grand Junction, CO to Chicago and it was 27 hours but some spent sleeping on the train and it was not that expensive.  It would be cheaper for you as you are closer to Denver than I am. From Chicago Union Station I got the Metro right to the Training Command.

WooHoo...got a call from Nate yesterday. He finally got his orders..he will be going to Bahrain for 2 years. He still hasn't gotten his leave orders or tickets for transfer. We are anxiuosly awaiting those. The triplets birthday's is Novemebr 15 and Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching. I am hoping we can hit one of those event with him home.

Yea! You are halfway through Shelley. You will get to hear and see your SR soon. I'm sure that has got to be the most heartbreaking thing to happen. One of the other twin Moms in our group had that happen to her too. Just keep writing those letters to him. It means everything to them while they are there. Are you excited about PIR? Is his twin excited about seeing brother again? How has Brett been handling his brother being gone? Are they going into the same field, or do that have completely different jobs/ratings? My Twin 1 doesn't even want to consider joining the military. However, after about fainting after hearing the cost of college, he might just change his tune. He's pretty stubborn though. LOL. Twin 2 told us that he decided when he was 12 that he wanted to join the military. In fact, I think he must have been waiting for the earliest time he could possibly talk to a recruiter. He never told us of his intentions until he told us back in May. Kinda funny now that I think about it.

CO-twin... 6 degrees is SUPER cold!  We had a nice warm up today.  Actually got into the 60s.  It was nice.  I guess there is another front coming our way though.

I saw that Disy got her first Texas rain the other day. Is the fall/winter weather affecting anyone else this time of year?

Thanks for the advice, rice pudding is good as it has some extra nutrition compared to just regular pudding.  Jonathan is doing pretty well, but is still numb.  He finally ate some ice cream.  I offered to make him some mashed potatoes later tonight. He opted out of going to band practice tonight, which is a good thing.  He's got to be worn out as he didn't even take a nap at all.  What a trooper for sure!  I have to say...it was hilarious this afternoon when I picked him up.  He was a bit loopy and didn't even remember that I took a picture of him when I got there.  LOL  Thanks again for your prayers and keep him in your prayers for a few more days as he heals.

Thanks so much for your prayers. Jonathan got through it just fine. They put him under IV sedation, but said he was conscious the whole time. His mouth is still numb and he can't talk. He is starving. Poor kid. He's afraid to eat because he has been a bit nauseous. His girlfriend just came by to bring him ice cream. She is so sweet. He hasn't slept either because he was afraid he would choke on his saliva and blood. Hee asked ifif he had to go to school tomorrow and I told him it was entirely up to him. Before the procedure, he swore he would go to band practice tonight. I have a feeling he wont feel up for it. LOL. He obviously can't play, but can march. We'll see.
