Shesh. How are yours doing? Has he settled in and feeling better? Hope st.
I think you are right about the days off once they are out of school and in the navy proper. Maybe but recruiters get weekends off. Or do they have to occasionally stand guard at the office? LOL.
Cathy what do you hear from yours now that they are in A School? How are they handling being apart?

Cindib... So glad you heard from your SR. And even better to hear that he is doing well, even just two weeks into training. How is your other twin handling his brother being gone? I bet you can't wait to see your first SR graduate.

CO-twin...I thought the only days off they got was when they had leave or liberty when in port. LOL

Welcome Mari Proud Mom of A&Z. I have identical twin boys Nathanael and Jonathan. Only one of my boys is going into the Navy. Jonathan leaves for BC 7/1/14 and is going in as a Nuke two weeks after he graduates from high school. Nathanael will be staying here and attending community college and later the university to work on an English teaching degree. We live in Northern Nevada.

Just went to see Captain Phillips today with the hubby and Jonathan. Man that was a good movie. Tom Hanks was AMAZING! I was bawling my eyes out the last 20 minutes or so of the movie. My hubby was too. Jonathan said he was holding it back trying to be the tough guy he needs to be.

Jonathan's girlfriend came over afterward to help me stitch anchors on the washcloths that I am sending in the goodie bags for the N4M Holiday Project. She is so sweet. She told her Mom she was doing it to be the supportive girlfriend. It was a good bonding moment for us.

The band competition on Friday went really well and we beat our biggest competition. However, our competition beat usus by. 25 pointspoints yesterday. It was a bitter pill for the band kids, but also a good thing for them to see what they need to do to win next week at our State competition.

Hope all of you are doing well. Those of you with SRs have got toto be getting close to PIR soon. So excited for you and I hope you will share your experiences here with us. Those of you with Sailors inin A-school, I hope they are excelling. I bet you all are looking forward to seeing them get through this next step in their Navy journey.

CO-twin... Good to hear that you have heard from Steven. I was thinking about him all throughout the movie today. Yea for Sam passing another important test. I am still trying to grasp what Jonathan will be going through when hehe gets there.

It's starting to feel like Fall around here. As a matter of fact, the hubby is raking and vacuuming up tons of leaves in the backyard. It was a surprise to see green grass again underneath as we had a deep blanket ofof leaves out there that multiplied thanks to the wind that kicked up today. A cold front is supposed to move in tomorrow. I'm not ready for snow!

Hope everyone is having a great Sunday, I messaged with Steve briefly. I am making walnut ink and shampooing my carpet. Smells earthy in here with the simmering whole, husks included walnuts I brought home from Calif.
haven't heard from Sam for awhile. He did get an 90% on his circuitry test.

You can also call the USPS 800 # and ask for a military kit, boxes, customs forms, labels and tape for free, but you only really need this if you are shipping overseas.
