Sassymom...hang in there. I dont hqve experience yet, but I have seen many many Moms post the same one as yours and they ALWAYS say that the next call is better. The SRs are adjusting to a whole new way of life and it's a struggle both internally and externally.

I remember those days last year to make certain to celebrate each "last" and make memories.  This will be the second year now that my Stephen will miss both Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Makes me sad, we will celebrate when his deployment ends at the end of January. Sam will miss Thanksgiving but should be home for Christmas as he graduates A school 12-22, then he starts T-Trac then on to Power school.  For you new guys Stephen in on the USS Bainbridge which is on deployment for 7 months, he is an IT.  Samuel is in Goose Creek at Nuke school, he will be a EM. Maybe you should all PM me with your twins and triplets info so we can PM an updated cheat sheet for all of us who have trouble remembering who is doing what.

Ellen...hope your finger is healing alright. What a difficult weekend you had for your son's PIR. Even though you didn't feel well... I'm sure you wouldn't have missed that experience. Hope your son is enjoying his A-school.

Hope everyone iss having a GREAT weekend. For those of you who got to see their Sailors... Hope the weekend was extra special! I hope all is well with the new Sailors who have started their A-school journey.
We had a scavenger hunt for the boys for their 18th birthday party yesterday. We sent them all over downtown and then we met for pizza and bowling afterward. The kids got some crazy photos and video. We really tried to make this birthday a special one for them. I want them to be able to look back and remember how GREAT it was.

Sassymom  most of the kids go through this. My first Steve (twin1) was terribly home sick.  He does not make friends as easily as his social twin.  He still has ups and downs and has been through A School and is on deployment.

Sam (twin2) LOVED boot camp,  odd fellow,  He is sometimes stressed out and he said Nuke school is the most challenging thing he has ever done but he is happy.  So your Son is not alone Shesh's SR also was struggling but her last call from him was more positive so hang in there.  It will get better.

Uggggg now the empty pit in back in my stomach.... I hope when he finally gets his letters and gets further he will be more positive Ship 14 Div 020

Welcome PrayingNavyMomsHusband. Wow long name may acronym it. Nice to have a dad. My twin2, Sam is at GC at nuke school he is an EM and has been there since the end of June. He texted today that he finished a really tough segment and is starting a section he enjoys a lot more. I think he will graduate A School December 22nd.
