Ellen...so good to hear that your youngest and his divison did so well. His big brother can tell himI'm that he taught him everything he knows. LOL

Disy...looking forward to seeing your picss uploaded.

Cindib...best of luck to your new SR and hang tight as you go on this journey along with your son. Hope his twin isn't too lost without his brother.

Doubletrouble...oh man that is so very wrong! I can only imagine how devastated those recruits are. I hope something good comes out off all this mess. My heart goes out too you.

OMGosh I can't believe I forgot that Tuesdat was their birthday. I did not say happy birthday and bring them a little something. I am so sorry. Will find them a little something Colorado to send. Hope Jonathan will look up Sam.. Sam has as a car and loves the beach for weekends. He is a good kid and he knows to keep his nose clean.
Oh no double trouble. That makes me mad that they will not be allowed PIR. Totally not fair, lets put congress and senators on Fourlough they don't work anyway. At least you get to see them both. Will they give your SR a day with you? MYbe they will change their mind at the last minute?

Hi ladies! It's been a busy week around here. Tuesday was the boys' 18th birthday and I stayed up all night on Monday making cupcakes and cake pops for them to share with all their friends. I also met up with CO-twin atat the train station again as we had to trade items that each of us left behind on accident. I'm so glad I wasn't at the train station when they made the bust. Those are dangerous situations. CO-twin...I'm so glad you like my jam. I just LOVE that stuff! Jonathann hadad yet another DEP meeting yesterday. He was jazzed as his recruiter gave him aa t-shirt with a Nuke symbol on the front that say Navy on it and says navy.com onn the back. He also got a swag bag and packet from NFCU.

Hello everyone. Just wanted to give you an update on my boys. We have a Sailor in div. 379! But still an SR in div. 387. Yesterday, instead of getting his 'I'm a Sailor' call he called to tell us that due to the govt shutdown his div has not done battle ststions. They were supposed to begin @ 8pm Tue, but 30 mins before they were informed that the civilian employees that work bs were furloughed! They are trying to get them rescheduled for, hopefull, last night or Thurs night into Fri morning. If they did it last night PIR will go on as planned, if they do it Thurs night, they will not be allowed to march in PIR, the whole div will have to sit in the stands. I am heartbroken for my son & all the SRs in these two divs, they are the last divs of the training group to go through bs & their future is on hold because the govt shutdown!
I am trying to stay positive because we will get to see them no matter what, but really want to shout to the world how disgusted I am with this whole govt shutdown. They are not only threatening to not take care of our active duty & veterans, but these young people that are so enamored with joining the military, have worked so hard & done everything that was asked of them for the past 8-9 weeks, are having to pay for stupidity! Very frustrating...

What do you mean pushed back? Do you mean a push division? Or finding out if your recruit passed battle stations? You generally get a form letter within two weeks of their arrival to RTC.
I am snug in bed as a new storm starts outside, up to 12" snow? Eating toast and having tea with jam on the toast made and delivered by Sierrascrapper. Doesn't get more special than that! Thanks it is yummy.
I loved meeting your twins, so handsome and really identical.
Right after I met with SS there was a drug bust on the train, some Asian guy with two BIG boxes of drugs. Weird.

Cindyb you are in a similar time schedule as my twins. Steve left for BC. Nov 4th Sam left April 22. Sam I think was a little lost without Steve. He sat playing video games too much as his friend were all gone to school and he had no more job.
