Sounds like you girls had a great time. So nice you are close & can get together face to face instead of messaging. My Dad was Navy also. He died a few years ago and never knew my son wanted to go into the Navy. He would be so proud of him! I sure wish I would get either the box or letter. He arrived Tues. around noon and today is Sat. I thought I was suppose to get it within two day.
Is this normal? At first I really didn't care about getting the box of old clothes, but I've changed my mind & am anxiously awaiting something.
BRAVO ZULU to Bryce...Cathy's son as he had graduation today! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
DISY...HOORAY!! I bet you are just on top of the world today. So proud and happy for your daughter and your family. Only one more week til you get to see Twinkle 1!
Kandra...how cool that you got to see all 3 of your boys at once when the first two PIR'd. I think it's GREAT that they get that extra attention for all 3 of them serving our nation. Way too cool! Only one more week for your too right??? How wonderful!
I think Doubletrouble's boys PIR next week too! It's GREAT to have so many of you in our group having PIR at the same time. I hope you all can find a way to meet.
SheisaSeabee...best of luck to Thing 1 on her test on Monday. It's good for her to go in with an open mind for jobs...but make sure she picks at least 5 that she has an interest in before she goes to MEPS.
Shesh...keep that phone close...I'm sure your boy will call soon. Hang in there.
Ellen...isn't your son graduating this coming week too?
At one point, all 3 of my boys were in Bootcamp at the same time. Morgan and Nate did get to see each other at Chapel. We did get to see Zach when Morgan and Nate graduated because they were interviewed by the Navy Times. The story was about them being triplets and all 3 going into the Navy and also included info on my husband and father-in-law who were also in the Navy. When Zach went in, Nate's Chief pulled him aside so he could see what the 3rd triplet looked like. They thought they were gonna get away from that in the Navy...lol
Shesh-2 of my boys left for Bootcamp July 2nd and they graduated Aug. 30th and are now in San Antonio. the other triplet left Aug. 6th and will graduate next friday Oct.4th. I can tell you it is way better when they have their phones back..At least you can text and call them. It has been a very emotional time for me. I never thought I would be that emotional mom that cries...but I have been. I see that you are in WI..I am in IL. where are you?
