Good afternoon everyone!  I've been trying to post a message for a couple days, but my phone has been giving me fits.  I finally got a chance to commandeer the computer and get on here again before the boys got home from school.

3boysmom...so sorry to hear that your Army son broke his foot.  Prayers going up for a speedy recovery and that he can just pick up from where he left off when he heals.  It's got to be difficult to work so hard for something and lose it...this too shall pass and hopefully he will be placed in something that he really enjoys.

CO-twin...OMG a Bear!  You're just going to go yell at it!  Uh no...I don't think so.  LOL  I'm a nature kind of girl...but I don't mess with bears.  Sorry he broke so many branches.  What made him think that an apple tree was the perfect tree to climb anyway?  Only 2 more days!  The weather is going to be AWFUL though :(  Figures...I jinxed us!  It is supposed to be rainy and we may see a dusting of snow over the summit.  No worries though...we have 4WD, just plan to dress in layers.  It should be nice in Sacramento...in the 70s I think.

Kandra...hope your MA loves his new assignment to Bahrain.  I don't know anything about the posters...but I will have to check it out.  It sounds kinda cool! I'm a scrapbooker, so I could probably make something fun when we finally reach that milestone.

Disy...WAHOO...she's almost there!  How exciting!  Are you ready to squeeze her tight or what???  LOL  Prayers going up this week and next...I will be sure to light my blue candles.

Hi ladies popping in to see how you are doing - fighting off bears I see - prayers for ship fever - I can't imagine being on a ship for so long! 3 boys - sorry :0( - it must be tough on him! Speedy recovery for him! Kandra we are doing posters and boards for the hotel doors for our sailors (God willing it all goes well) - just like ummmm - when the kids do All Stars and you travel away for Tournaments??

Well as you know I can't mention any dates but our PIR divisions will be focusing on their final test this week and next so I would like to ask for prayers for our future sailor! I know she's got this but would like all our divisions to have success! Thank you!

3 boys  What was he training in and where again. I swear between groups for 1's A school and 2's ship and port base, and the Christian one, and the CHATTY moms, and the twins there are too many for me to keep track of. When you have twins in you end up intwice the groups.  I can't imagine how Kandra will keep track of 3!!

There are two other moms I know of that have injured sailors. One was given a temp job until he healed, knee injury that was helping out The oh I forget the name of the person who does paperwork, He worked for that guy and he ended up really liking it,  He is good to go beck to A school now but I don't think he had to start all over, just pick up where he left off.

Co-twin,
I wish I had some suggestions for cheering up your son. I'm struggling with cheering up my boy with the broken foot. He broke it with two days left to go in his training class, so now he'd have to wait six months to start over again. I just tried to tell him that another door will open for him. I guess the only thing we can sometimes do is listen to their hardships and simply tell them we are behind them and understand their feelings. Sometimes I think they know we can't offer much, but they just need to be heard.
It's simply amazing what these young people go thru for us and I wish that everyone could know or understand what these heroes endure for our country, and they volunteered to do it!!

I saw on another site that people were making posters for their hotel room doors, what's this about?

Comment by Kandra71 on September 23, 2013 at 4:35pm

Oh..OK. I was wondering...lol I live on the Mississippi and we get the occasional deer, never a bear.

Comment by CO-TwinSalorsMom on September 23, 2013 at 1:50pm

I live in the Colorado San Juan mountains, part of the rockies. We have lots of wildlife, bears, mountain lion, bob cats, coyotes, fox, marmots, bald eagles, vultures etc...

The bear broke two big limbs off my apple tree and was working on the third, bummer now my tree is lopsided.  He also got the trash.

I haven't been on here for a little bit.. I just found out that my MA triplet is going to Bahrain. from all the research I have found sounds like a peaceful area. Anyone have any insight for me?
