Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I have identical twin boys, but only one is going in. They are finishing their final year of HS and then Twin 2 will leave for BC on 7/1. He is going in as a Nuke. Twin 1 will go to the local community college to earn his tech credits he learned in HS in the graphic arts/communications field. Then he will go to a traditional college to earn his teaching degree. He wants to teach English and graphic arts in a tech high school like the one he goes to.

Comment by CO-TwinSalorsMom on September 15, 2013 at 11:49pm: Had a busy day shopping, big stores like Home Depot, Safeway, farm supply are 35 miles away, so I save up till I run several errands at once, I time it o fill up on cheaper gas, today it was .60 c cheaper than here. Spotty blue sky and very little rain! You guys must have prayed, thanks. No flood here yet, disastrous flooding on the other side of the state.

We live in Illinois and only have a 3 1/2 hour drive. Where are the other 10/4 families coming from? For Morgan and Nate's graduation we drove in to the hotel on Thursday Night and left Saturday Morning.

Morgan is a Corpsman, Nate is a MA and Zach is SeaBee.
