It's been too long since I have seen my family. So it was time. you know when your parents get older it becomes important to go visit. I missed seeing my mom before she died and will always regret that. I also want to check out S. Oregon to maybe retire there, however My Sam would like me to move to where he gets stationed and open a Bakery on base. Nice boy, that Sam I am.

He is hoping for Washington, San Diego or Hawaii.

of the three I would not want to go to San Diego as I have lived for 30 years in a TINY town. I would feel lost all the time. and nervious.

Co-twin I envy you your trip ! It sounds like fun! What made you decide to take it?

Lulu - it is hard - my SR is due to go to Pensacola - when we were in CA it sounded awful! Now that we're in Houston I am - few hours away from both my girls but still it's difficult!

Hi LuLu - welcome! Hope your son gets his ankle sorted out! We've prayed before for skinny ankles we can do it again!
Oh goodness Beachbunny! She's given me some good tips on travels to Pensacola so tell her I said Hi!! Sounds like a fun trip Co-Twin hope you will be able to post pics!
Yes it is sad news with all the flooding! And then the boardwalk in NJ! Terrible!
Ellen where is your sons gf studying nursing? Seems to be a lot more work than the "college image" - she's loving it - told me yesterday she can't wait to get to the blood and stuff! Ewwww what did I raise!
No word from Cathy? Doubletrouble either?
Twinkle 1 is doing great! Her division MIGHT get the Hall of Fame Award they are doing so well and Twinkle 1 got to shake hands and answer questions from the RTC 2nd in command and got them right (phew!) she said her RDC's were so pleased!
Ellen I know you're also 10/4 so you are counting down like me! Are you on the PIR fb page?
Happy happy happy Friday everyone!
My SR might be doing recruit heaven this weekend so fingers crossed! They got 9.5 on their Marlin Spike?? And then 4.91 on their inspection so if they maintain that they get recruit heaven.
