Welcome LuLu! Hope all is well with your son as we heard he hurt his ankle. VA is quite far from OR. How are you handling that? . Does it make it easier on you missing your son with your daughter is nearby? How does she feel abput her brother being in the Navy?

Here's my intro:
I have been married to my hubby for 22 yrs. We live in Northern Nevada which is not even close to Vegas. LOL We have identical twin boys who are going to be 18 in a few weeks and they are finishing their Senior year of HS. Twin 1-Nathanael goes to a career/tech HS and he is studying graphic arts/communication. He plans on going to our local community college first to earn the tech credits he received in HS and then he is planning to go to a bigger college to earn a teaching degree. He wants to teach in a high school like the one he goes to. Twin2-Jonathan goes to a traditional HS and is the section leader for the clarinets in the marching band. The band will be in the Tournament of Roses Parade this January. He has signed a Nuke contract for the Navy and leaves for BC July 1st after he graduates.

Hey Cathy...did Bryce call? I sure hope so :)

CO-twin...are you being affected by the flash floods? I wasn't sure where you were in relation to Boulder. Oh, and only 2 more weeks til we get to meet and hang out together. Can't wait! I'm so looking forward to going to IKEA. It is an AWESOME place!

Ellen...your story make the name even more hilarious. Thanks for sharing. LOL

Doubletrouble...hope all is well with your boys.

I hope LuLu's son will be all right and can make it back to base safely and get through his pain. Those kids are just stubborn...men are like that too.

Disy...Best of luck to Twinkle 2. That's quite a load! 8 classes is CRAZY! I sure hope she can keep up. I'm sure she likes the challenge. Heck...you can add the RoseParade to your list this year! LOL I cant wait to go! It's my first time and I was born down there and lived there til I was 9.

Goodness - hope LuLu is doing okay! Poor thing! Why is it they never want to go to urgent care!

Twinkle 2 is doing nursing! She's only be there 2 weeks but I think she is surprised at the volume of work - she was thinking 8 classes a week how bade can that be!!! LOL! Harder than you think!

Those scholarships are a lot of work - good that he has buckled down and started them already!

Going to the Rose Bowl Parade is on my Bucket List! Can you believe I never went! Ugh! No-one ever wanted to go!!! And I didn't want to be on my lonesome! Now I live miles away! Stupid!!

LuLu has her hands full right now, went on a hike with he family, sailor home on leave, he twisted his ankle really badly, it is very swollen and he flys back tomorrow. She wants to take him to urgent care he doesn't't want to go. He flyers out early in the morning.

I am NOT ready for Christmas that's for sure.  Although I'm excited for it too since we will be heading to Pasadena a couple days afterward.  The trip to Pasadena for the Tournament of Roses Parade is going to be one that we will never forget.  I can't believe how quickly it will get here, especially with all the band competitions leading up to the Parade.  We have got a BUSY couple of months with a competition about every other week until late November.

Disy...I think I already asked this but for the life of me I can't remember.  What is Twinkle 2 studying in college?  I was pleased with Twin 1 yesterday as he applied for a few easy scholarships online and wrote a couple essays.  Granted it was part of an assignment for his AP Language/Composition class.  Either way, he seemed motivated and he is now looking more at the list I have compiled so far for him to apply for.  Still a long uphill battle to get that kid funded for college.

CO-twin...I hope your friend LuLu joins our group.  More is always better :)  I always keep my eyes open when I'm in other forums to see if there is a Mom of twins who hasn't found us yet.  And this is an AWESOME group because of the acknowledgment AND the MadLibs.  LOL  I really enjoy the connection we all share.

I don't mind either way about being an open group. It's quite difficult to keep up with all the groups and then with Facebook too it's doubly difficult to keep up. I find the groups that work well are the ones where there is acknowledgment and interaction. If you keep posting and no-one comments or acknowledges your post you tend to move on. It's different when you have members that admit they don't get on much but to just keep posting and not acknowledging other members even though you may have something in common i.e. same A school same PIR date etc. there are so many groups you can connect with and make friends with albeit on line that eventually you find your niche. It's nice that we are Twins and Multiples because a few moms have two kids - not necessarily twins so it is all encompassing. Plus of course we have MadLibs!!!!!!

Goodness KMart is advertising Christmas and we haven't even gotten to Fall yet!!!!!!!

I also love the "Cabana Boy" very funny. OK I will leave it open, just worried about the lurkers. Don't really knot who they are. I did alter the description a tad to hopefully make it clear that it is a navy mom has twins period. they don't have to both be in. I also invited LuLu.
