Seems they don't get to use computers very often. Dave did send me a two line message on fb today with an updated address. Any contact from him is great, even if it's brief. Did you hear anything today Navymomkathy?
He brought a calling card and I think it said could be used for international. I thought we would stay in touch mostly by e-mail. I am sure he is doing fine. Will be glad to get his address so I can start sending him care packages. I am sure they will both have alot of stories to tell.
I hope you hear something soon. Does your son have an international calling card? My son got one from someone on the ship. I'm sending him another one in a care package tomorrow. He l-o-v-e-s it so far! I'll bet yours does, too. They will have experiences there that they could never have anywhere else.
I got a letter on Feb. 22! It appears that it took about 10 days to get here. Is that pretty typical?
Navymomkathy, lol. Patience? What's that? When it comes to our kids it's hard to have the patience that we used to preach to them about. lol Yes, I LOVE that JCS posts pics daily. I feel like I get to have a peek into his world through that. Hope you hear something soon.
So glad that you heard from him. I am patiently waiting for a phone call or email from my sailor. Ok I may be lying about the patiently part. LOL. Some good pics posted on the FB page.
My sailor called me last Friday! It was brief, but who cares. So good to hear his voice and know that he is doing well. He loves it! Thanks for your support with the waiting part, everyone. Hope all of you are well and your sailors, too.
Hang in there DavesMom. I bet you here from him soon.
Good for you Navymomkathy! I'm happy for you and slightly jealous. I still haven't heard a thing. Ouch! 4 hours sleep in 2 days? Hope your sailor got some rest.
