Hi all. I'm new to the group and I don't see any groups or forums that include the job my son is hoping for, CWT. I know it is a relatively new designation, within intelligence.
My son is hoping to find out how other CWTs like the job and non-classified (obviously) information about what they do day-to-day. If you have a CWT connection in your family or can point me in the right direction on this website, thanks in advance!!

I am new to the site and could use some guidance and support from other proud mommas. I have a 19 year daughter enlisting in August. I am so proud of her choice and decision to become a sailor! I show nothing but support and encouragement to her. While behind the scenes, to be honest I do cry, often. I have so many questions and not knowing what all to expect is hard. I joined Navy for Moms for support from moms to moms. Please tell me I am not alone in these…

Greetings everyone!
Hope you're all enjoying the summer.
As previously mentioned we are flying in this week with my son to L A to meet with officers at the recruitment office at either C.City or El Seg.
This is to explore possibilities. A bit nervous on how to prepare or what to expect.
Just wondering if any Moms are nearby for a quick chat.
Kind Regards

Please pray for us. Yvonne and I have been praying for some time now that the Lord would begin bringing servicemen and women back to our home. And that He would give Yvonne the strength to conduct our ministry on the weekends again. What with COVID-19 and Yvonne's back surgery it's been a long time since we've had young men and women in our home on the weekends.
A few weeks ago we got a text from a sailor who came to our home in 2009 who is coming through the…

It has been 8 years since my oldest daughter went in boot camp as a recruit and graduated as a United States Navy Sailor. and became Master at Arms. Now my only son is in Navy boot camp training and I am again feeling the butterflies. But I know he is in good hands, plus he has a praying mother and father. Happy Mother's Day everyone.

Yvonne is doing very well! God is restoring her to health and healing her wounds as He promised! Her pain is going down a lot. Her walking is getting much better and she is doing more around the house. We have been able to reduce her pain meds. She is totally off of Oxycodone. And the spasms in her legs have subsided enough so we have reduced her baclofen muscle spasm medicine from three times a day to two. At least for a couple of days now. God is SO GOOD!! Hallelujah! This has been…

Update on Yvonne's recovery...
I'm sorry that I have not updated Yvonne's condition for far too long. Several of you have messaged us and asked how Yvonne is doing. So I decided that I had better do it now!
Yvonne is recovering very well! We saw the doctor post surgery for the second time last Wednesday. He showed us the new x-rays and though pretty intimidating, they looked good. He said everything there looked good and was in the place it…

I have an update and prayer request for Yvonne.
She is doing well in her physical recovery. She finished her rehab stay at Lake Taylor where they treated her wonderfully and her therapy was excellent! She is walking much straighter and can lift her feet much higher. She began in home therapy last week having completed two PT sessions. It looks like we are getting the same OT and PT therapists that she had last year. We requested them because they were so good and…

Thank you all for your prayers! Yvonne's PT sessions are going really well. To keep her legs from hurting in the afternoon and evenings she even gets up and walks around her room! God is so good and things seem to be going very well. She still has pain, but she is working through it to the best of her ability. She's a real trooper!!!!! Thank you Jesus!

Yvonne had a harder day today than usual this past week. We got through the day, but it was more painful. Please pray for a dear friend of Yvonne's, K Preston, who is in the hospital and who will be undergoing bypass surgery at the end of the week. Thank you.

Yvonne is now at Lake Taylor Rehabilitation Hospital. She was evaluated on Monday and started physical therapy. Monday she could barely shuffle a few inches with a lot of pain, and fear of falling. But, Praise God! Thursday Yvonne's physical therapist had her walk from her bed to the door of her room - TWICE! She was able to do it without a lot of pain and without a lot of fear. Praise God for the improvement. Today the therapist worked with her on her posture and the…

Yvonne is now at Lake Taylor Rehabilitation Hospital. That was our first choice. God answered prayer! Now we need to settle in for how they do things here. She is in room Azalea 23. God is restoring her to health and healing her wounds! She will be evaluated tomorrow and start rehabilitation therapy on Monday.

Yvonne's surgery went well. Got up today at 3:30 and we're at the hospital at 5:30. Took her to the operating room at 8:00. The procedure started at 9:00 and ended at 1:00. Sarah came down and kept me company all day. Yvonne has been in her room since about 2:30. Having a pretty hard time waking up from the anesthesia. But she is coming around. She ate well when she got to her room. Thank you all for your prayer support and expressions of love. They are so much appreciated!

Please pray for us. Yvonne goes in for surgery to fuse the vertebrae right above where the last one began with the others. The surgery is on January 24th at 0730 in the morning. Please pray for Dr. Shuff as well and his surgical team.

We told the doctor this morning that we want to go ahead with the surgery. His nurse said they would be getting back to us with details about scheduling. Please keep us in prayer, as we know you already have been, and we thank you for that. You will never know how grateful we are for your love and prayer support!

First things first.....New Moms.... Take a Deep Breath in....... Let it out...... Take another one......... Let it out....... Repeat continuously!!! Just keep breathing and it will all be OK!! We haven’t lost a mom to Boot camp yet, we won’t start with you.
If your Child has NOT left yet, Read on. IF THEY HAVE LEFT Skip to the next section. Nothing here is critical, but it is useful.
If your Recruit has not left yet: have him or her leave you…

We finally saw doctor today and got the results of Yvonne's MRI. The level above where the surgeon fused her spine has some serious stenosis in it and is causing her set back. The doctor suggested there were a few things that could be done, but none of them would solve the problem. The most viable option is another surgery to decompress the nerves at that level and connect it to the area done before. It would be a much shorter surgery - only two to three hours versus 13 hours…
